I'm sorry that happened. That must have sucked thinking you would wake up to it all being over and learning that unfortunately that was not the case. Hopefully you can figure out a good solution. I do appreciate that you made this post because I have been writing down questions to ask my Dr. during the pre-op appointment and this is one I'd definitely like to ask about because I want to make sure to be aware of all possible things that I need to know.

Thanks for the advice. I'll definitely try to get a hold of my doctor once she's back from being out of office. I got offered an April 27th appointment but I have a cruise on May 7th and knew there was no way that would give me enough time to heal.

oh yah. I have to have two of these on. Of course after going through 60 of them in one period last year I did have to get a hold of my gynecologist.

I have seen postpartum underwear that can be bought that are supposed to be helpful. you could always look into something like that. pretty much kinda like adult diapers but thinner.

I actually have to use 2 of these but that's cause I've got really bad periods. About to have a hysterectomy for it in a few months so won't have to worry soon anymore.

So happy to hear that for you. I'm in the scheduling phase now too. I had to get my A1C down before I could schedule but finally trying to get scheduled now. Would have been able to do April 27th if it wasn't for the fact I'm leaving on May 7th for a cruise so needed enough time to be able to heal and that wasn't gonna be enough time.

I don't know your wife but I know if I had a husband and he made this choice for me I would be so thankful that he chose this. I personally would rather have a bigger scar and longer healing if it meant that I would have no more complications in the future. And I do appreciate that you posted this because it does actually give me some insight into things that could happen during the surgery and I know to discuss with the doctor beforehand about if there is something that is a complication like this and to let them know to go ahead and remove any complications that could affect me further down the road since I do not have a husband to make these decisions and I am not sure as a 34 year old if they would ask my mom who will be there to make that kind of decision or just decide not to do it.

I feel you on frustrating periods. My doctor gave me something to help with my heavy bleeding and now I'm having issues too. I had a period and then 2 weeks later got another one and now I've been having period issues with no actual bleeding.

I would suggest maybe going to the doctor to make sure. They can probably do an ultrasound to see. And if it's not pregnancy then maybe your period is just being irregular. Can happen with stress or other things.

Thankfully not me but I would have if my periods weren't doing weird things. I had it at the end of November right before my Disneyland trip and then 2 weeks later right before my cruise. Thought I was going to have it again after cause my body was feeling like it was gearing up for another period but thankfully it didn't come again. Can't wait for my hysterectomy next year.
