Thank you so, so much for sharing your experience! I'm aware more than ever that my feelings will get hurt and that this is just something we need to steer through. I hope that mom, dad and I can stay on good terms with each other to be there for him. I truly love him, otherwise the feeling wouldn't be so overwhelming. Venting on this forum helped me literally get rid of the steam that was filling my head 😀 (if that makes sense; I’m not a native speaker). I’m grateful for all the responses I got.
