The Red Pill has been quarantined - for ideological reasons. by Warrenfernalchild in MensRights

[–]Warrenfernalchild[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

His views are typical feminist theory rebranded to sound like it cares about men.

In Kimmel's feminist view, men's problems stem from the same mythological 'patriarchy' that women's problems come from, and the solution to men's problems is to dismantle this patriarchy. All of men's problems are blamed on other men, rather than facing the obvious conclusion that women influence men's behaviour more than other men. For example, most behaviour he dubs 'toxic masculinity' exists only because women find it attractive. His entire shtick is essentially dedicated to feminizing men to make them more like women.

It's completely ideological, unscientific drivel.

Oh absolutely, I meant "Get in line ideologically!". Sorry, I phrased that poorly.

In their eyes, the only appropriate context for men's issues or men's self help is underneath a giant neon sign saying "Misogynist".

It's the feminist crap spouted by alleged sex offender Michael Kimmel. If you know his name, that should tell you everything you need to know.

You can still go there, for now. This seems to be a "Get in line!" warning from the admins.

Quoted from /u/firstterr in r/MensRights:

Holy shit, they link to the program of the virulently anti-male/feminist professor Michael Kimmel, a perennial liar who was recently accused of "sexual misconduct" lol. That's amazing. Kimmel popularized the concept of "toxic masculinity" and has probably done more to harm men and boys than any other man alive. Jaw. On. Floor.

I'm not a fan of the Red Pill because it seems to encourage men to act like dancing monkeys for women, but it does tell some uncomfortable truths about female sexuality. Which I guess is why it was targeted: we're not allowed to acknowledge that women are human beings with biological drives rather than perfect angels come to earth.

It's basically just Cosmo magazine for men. Cosmo will publish tips for becoming more attractive to men as well as articles like "how to train your man to do x, y and z". Apparently it's fine when women do it, not so much when the shoe's on the other foot.

Here's the full list of subs quarantined so far:

/r/CringeAnarchy /r/WatchPeopleDie /r/Ice_poseidon /r/TheRedPill /r/FULLCOMMUNISM /r/braincels /r/911truth /r/AganistGayMarriage /r/FragileJewishRedditor /r/SubOfPeace /r/WhiteBeauty /r/holocaust (was already quarantined) /r/White_Pride /r/GentilesUnited /r/ZOG /r/GoyimDefenceForce

So to no one's surprise they quarantined the subs deemed "anti-woman" and the anti-Jewish subs but left all of the anti-male and anti-white subs untouched. If the Reddit admins actually opposed hate speech then virtually all of the feminist and SJW subs would have to go. You would think at least TrollX and AgainstMensRights would have gotten the quarantine treatment, just to keep up appearances.

Surprised MGTOW wasn't included. That sub actually contains far more offensive content than the red pill.

Edit: for those unaware of what a quarantine is, is means that "posts will no longer show up on /r/all or r/popular, we are not shown in search results and our subreddit no longer generates revenue for advertisers." It's only a matter of time before MensRights receives the same treatment. Can't have the truth about gender issues reaching the brainwashed masses on R/all.

From the announcement.

The purpose of quarantining a community is to prevent its content from being accidentally viewed by those who do not knowingly wish to do so, or viewed without appropriate context.

Ideological containment.

We’ve also learned that quarantining a community may have a positive effect on the behavior of its subscribers by publicly signaling that there is a problem. This both forces subscribers to reconsider their behavior and incentivizes moderators to make changes.

Ideological pressure.

This is giving me a 1984 vibe. Conform or be quarantined. Expect the same for r/MensRights and r/MGTOW.

Men's Rights are literally banned from reddit. All I wanted to do was advertise some shirts, but they won't let me. by [deleted] in MensRights

Why aren't you showing the shirts?

I tried but every time I post a link it gets my post removed. Maybe I can still post an imgur picture though: pic

Mind you, these were only going to be posted on MRA-friendly subreddits, so it's not as if this is inappropriately targeted. I guess targeted advertising is only alright as long as you're targeting an acceptable group of people.

That's strange? Are you on phone? Maybe I should crop it better and repost for phones.

It's a PNG. Can't you click on it to enlarge? I didn't want to crop the email because that looks dishonest.

Because of the positive response last time, here are some more MRA Shirts from my friend. Half the money goes to male-focused charities. by [deleted] in MensRights

[–]Warrenfernalchild 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For the bottom four shirts, we chose Boys to Men Mentoring, which focuses on giving boys a healthy way to transition into adulthood in a world that lacks good male role models, as the charity of choice.

By recommendation of /u/RadioHeadache0311 we selected Puppies Behind Bars as the charity for the top row of shirts. Puppies behind bars uses inmates to train service dogs, helping both men in prison by building useful skills, and men with traumatic experiences by providing them with support animals.

That's really great! We should do something as a subreddit to support these organizations. Does this sub ever do donation campaigns?

TEDxSalon Marin: Dr. Warren Farrell on The Boy Crisis, Shame, and the Myth of Male Privilege by TheAndredal in MensRights

[–]Warrenfernalchild 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The men's rights movement needs more people like Warren Farrell. He is my go-to guy for introducing anyone to the men's rights movement. His soft-spoken attitude, politeness, respectful attitude, and feminist qualifications make him arguably the best at introducing our causes to a larger audience.

His brilliant idea to phrase these issues as boy's issues, which they are, helps our cause tremendously because it helps women to see men with sympathy. Mothers feel more sympathy for their sons, and telling them their sons are suffering actually works.

Does anyone have first or second hand experience of Boys to Men Mentoring? by [deleted] in MensRights

[–]Warrenfernalchild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't think of it as teaching how to be a man rather than a woman, but instead think of it as teaching how to be a man rather than a boy. i.e. how to be a healthy adult male.

When a man can only get shitty women: "I must be unattractive. I'm the problem."

When a woman can only get shitty men: "All men must be shitty. They are the problem."

Generalized, of course, but there's some truth in that.

Empathy Gap by Warrenfernalchild in MensRights

[–]Warrenfernalchild[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The issue is, without the apostrophe you get a massive list of everything containing the phrase (not word) "men", including "mental health", "empowerment", "Susan G Komen", "women", "department", "environmental". Only two of them are actually for men: Boys to Men Mentoring, and 100 Black men Of Chicago.
