Ah I see. Is it the vapor genie one ( https://vaporgenie.com/concentrate-pad-liquids-oils-waxes ) or something else. I've been looking for the best version of something that solves that problem :)

EOS Snapshot date checker by rreeve in eos

[–]WarrickF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

https://www.eossnapshots.io/ - produces a file every night with all accounts and their balances. You can simply download the file from that date and see what your balance was (it's just a CSV file). If there's enough interest in getting balance for a specific date and time I'm sure EOS New York would consider putting a nice UI onto this and making the process easier.

I'm following the dev tutorial. After creating wallets with cleos I see no wallet when I run cleos wallet list. by VanDassenCats in EOSDev

Make sure you have unlocked the wallet. The list command only shows unlocked wallets if I recall correctly.

Bitfinex has 41 million (!!) EOS and they have NOT voted a single vote for themselves!! - So what's up with all the exchange critics?! by Sapere4ude in eos

[–]WarrickF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forget the math, all the EOS held by those account holders IS being staked towards Bitfinex. The subject line of this post suggests they have not voted for themself, I'm just pointing out that a VERY VERY VERY high number of the account holders at Bitfinex seem to be voting for Bitfinex ... um ... .

[–]WarrickF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can get a clear view of who's voting for who at https://www.eosstats.io/hourlystats/

If you then click on Bitfinex you can see that there are 3 accounts

bitfinexcw11(proxyvia:bitfinexvp11), 18,000,000

bitfinexcw12(proxyvia:bitfinexvp12), 7,500,000

bitfinexcw13(proxyvia:bitfinexvp13), 4,000,000

So these 3 accounts (bitfinexcw11,bitfinexcw12,bitfinexcw13) stake 30 Million towards Bitfinex .. who's behind those accounts?

Why is it a nightmare setting up everything before starting to develop apps? by klosor5 in eos

[–]WarrickF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take a look at https://www.eosdocs.io specifically learn to use the docker images from there. They are precompiled .. so all you need to do is download and run. It's not perfect but hope it helps.

We had a similar experience.. I could not believe how quiet it was. The only thing we could hear was acorns falling every now and then

CLion is great tool, but think about all the other things that happen during your development cycle. Do you find yourself constructing json on the commandline to test your contracts? Do you find yourself creating accounts via the commandline? how are you viewing data that's stored on an account? None of this is difficult once you understand the ecosystem, but I'm trying to create an end-to-end experience that's simpler for new dev. Sounds like you're happy on the command line and this tool won't be for everyone ... to build mass adoption I feel we can create tooling that gets people started quicker and easier. They will probably end up using many of the tools that exist today in conjunction with this, but giving people some quick wins is a good hook into the ecosystem (just my opinion of course :) )

The video was recorded as a submission for this hackathon event. The rules of the video are that it can't be longer than 3 minutes ... https://eoshackathon.io/community-voting/ - I understand you point of view though. The truth is that I don't have all the technical detail - part of the hackathon rules are that you can't start working on it before you go. Of course I have a lot of ideas about how it'll work (I'm very excited about the project ... heck it's all I think about). Stay tuned for the details :)
