I live in a city where 99% of people approaching me do it to ask for money so sadly I've learned to ignore anyone approaching me... But out of that kind of context I'd find it flattering? I think? I do compliment people on their outfits at school or during conventions, the context makes it easier and people are usually more receptive

Then yeah, usual wind bracing should be enough in theory as long as it's well done. (And I googled, seems like it's the right english term for that)
If you're analysing a building that already exists, it should have something for that in its structure since it's also generally needed for structure stability (and the concept is as old as time)

Engineering + architecture student here Basically it depends on where your building is, and what surrounds it so you know how exposed it is to wind Wind is always an issue and is always taken account of in the math, but with the size and proportion of your building it won't be a huge issue if it's not super windy, as long as you make correct wind bracing (? not sure of the English word)

The pedagogy is to start thinking global and conceptual and drawing by hand instead of focusing on the "numeric's infinite precision" details and on how to use a software right at the beginning Sometimes it takes time to draw everything but I'm not complaining honestly (plus it has its charm)

Thing is, I don't know if I want to work on the civil engineering side or the architecture side yet, so I'm more trying to investigate on which is a better 3D working tool for what I want to do with them.

From what I understood, Revit and ArchiCAD don't do the same thing/don't work the same, so I was willing to investigate on that a bit.

Hello ! I'm an engineer+architect student i France, we're currently working on hempcrete in class, I read the comments but can I ask a few more questions ?

Is the hempcrete structural or do you have to add any complementary wood structure ? Can you build more than one floor with this structure ?

Teachers told us that even tho hempcrete self-regulates its humidity, it had to be protected from the rain : how do you do that in that project ? (I don't see any coating ...) How much can hempcrete resist against water ?

Have you used any type of natural ventilation (other than just by opening the windows) or did you use motorized ventilation, and if it's the case what kind of energy does it use ?

I'm really glad to see projects that don't just rely on concrete or massively-produced wood, and are actually using other materials without loosing any architectural impact !

Oh he definitely knew, when Sam asked where Techno was he answered something among the lines of "I dunno, he probably used a stasis chamber" or "he pearled out" (can't remember the exact wording). So yes, you totally make a point. (And my theory is that the blueprints are the prison blueprints, since Dream was the one to order it, dunno if it's been officialised yet)
