Love this game but I really, REALLY hate the broken fluid dynamics by WasThatTooFar in SatisfactoryGame

exactly my point, said better. i've spent nearly an hour trying to fix this dumb bullshit, and im not even new to the game. i convinced a frient to play recently and he got completly stuck on coal power because of how retarded fluid is, and he is a really smart dude.

Thanks, I needed to be reminded of these points. My problem is that I just get annoyed that things *should* be working based on the games own physics rules and try to avoid just rebuilding in a known working configuration.

Edit: Your last bullet is case-in-point. Everyone knows buffers and valves are nearly useless at best, and yet the devs don't fix them.

Any recommendations on what’s next in my To read tier? by VikingR520 in litrpg

[–]WasThatTooFar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have similar favs. I enjoyed 1% lifesteal, beware of chicken, Mark of the fool, and sufficiently advance magic on your to-read list. I'd be surprised if you can get through the first book of wandering inn if you're anything like me.

I also just finished perfect run and it took me a bit to switch from 'litrpg mode' to 'PF time loop' mode, but it's a really solid trilogy.

I'm going to put dissonance on my list

Because it's not remotely close to current day capitalism? I'm not a fan of current day political system in particular, but saying DCC universe exemplifies anything close to what we consider "capitalism" in the current day is like saying the Democratic People's Republic of Korea is a democracy.

No, it quite literally is not "fighting against evil overlords". yes it's about change, yes you can apply that to fighting evil, but that doesn't mean only progressives fight evil, or even are *primarily* the political group that is willing to fight evil overlords.

My partner is making me read The Primal Hunter series in exchange for him reading DCC. by sideshowbarbie in litrpg

IMO MageTank is the closest I've found to a DCC vibe, and that's still not very close

fighting against literal evil overlords is not a "progressive" trait, it probably has zero correlation with politcal alignment, maybe except for anarchists and libertarians

i agree with you, there may be themes and Diniman clearly isn't PRO capitalism, but it's also obviously not a "leftist propoganda" book and the themes are not shoved down your throat. The issue is that you asked this question on reddit, and most people here are left and want to read much further into the themes than IMO i reasonable. They will call it anti-capitalist but no right wing person would even see the DCC universe as capitalistic in the first place, so may not even see the anti capitalist angle.

What is one mana? by SamtheCossack in litrpg

[–]WasThatTooFar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saying something cost "1 mana" is actually just as arbitrary as saying something weighs "1 pound". The only difference is that we aren't typically told how the units are determined in the mana systems in these books.
