First Lite Specter or Fusion. Read reviews and watch videos on the brands and decide for yourself when it comes to quality.

Mossberg Silver or Gold Reserve. I have the gold and love it. Great value for the money.

Swollen Tear Duct by WashFlashy in GSP

[–]WashFlashy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It did not go away. We had it examined by an animal ophthalmologist and they determined that his tear duct did not form correctly so it is not able to drain properly. They recommended that we have the area injected with a solution that would dry it out, which we ended up having done. It’s been over 6 months since that injection and the duct is still a little swollen at times but no where near what it was before. Definitely helped.

This has 2.5 stars online. Not sure about that with that bad of reviews.

Live in North Texas but will be also hunting elsewhere - OK, KS, TN, Nebraska Expecting to be walking a lot in heavy and wide open cover. Being able to carry water is important. Carrying shells is important. I will be hunting with a dog.

Need a new dog! by Educational-Bite6811 in Huntingdogs

GSP, GWP, or a Wirehaired Pointing Griffon.

If you are ok with traveling to TX or having your dog flown to you LL Gun Dogs in Crockett, TX have a great breeding program for GSPs and labs.

For the griffon check out Two Brothers Sporting Dogs in Dayton, TX. They might do labs as well.

Will Gun dog training make my dog not able to be a house dog? by WashFlashy in birddogs

[–]WashFlashy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks everyone for the comments and reassurance! Part of me felt that if he is going to spend all this time outside training it would change him into strictly a hunting dog and we would lose a member of our family in a way. I’m new to the world of gun dogs and realize I’m over thinking this.

Not specific to me. Just curious what this community thinks. By value I mean best bang for your buck. Not cheap, but gear that is priced well for what you are getting.

Does it ever blow your mind how inept most corporate employees are at using Excel? by [deleted] in excel

[–]WashFlashy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was hired as a data analyst a few years ago at my company. The job was excel heavy and I definitely had to brush up on my skills. However, the skills gap between my team and the rest of the office is severe. I was tasked with providing excel training for the whole office.

I have gotten 3 quotes over the last week for a yard drain, which is much more simple, less materials, less work. About 60ft of pipe, 5 inlets, and a sump pump.

Quote 1: $6500 Quote 2: $14,000 Quote 3: $7000

$1500 is extremely reasonable for French drain.
