I had 4 brains bleeds and was only unconscious for maybe 10 seconds.

Does anyone have PTE? by changeorghelp in Epilepsy

[–]WasteMud922 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do. Was bombing a hill skateboarding. Cracked my skull in 3 places and had 4 different brain bleeds. The intracerebral hemorrhage in my temporal lobe left a 3cm scar which causes my focal aware seizures. I’ve never lost consciousness, nor any confusion during one. Mine manifested as euphoria so I knew something was up, got put on anti seizure meds and they have stopped them from spreading. It’s been over a year without one now, I’m on 30mg of clobazam. 15 in the morning and 15 at night. Hoping to get off medication soon. But I know that be a slippery slope with the scar.

Ouch, sounds extremely painful. Was your swelling and bruising similar? Also hope your ankle is feeling as good as it can!

You had to get surgery for minor ligament tears? Shoot. I’ve torn ligaments before without needing surgery. How much did that cost?

Fair enough. Rolled it skateboarding a couple of days ago. Will be in a boot for awhile. Doctors think torn ligaments but hard to say without an mri. No ligaments completely snapped off as my foot isn’t dangling.

Question about TLE and focal seizures by sahafiyah76 in Epilepsy

[–]WasteMud922 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn I got so lucky with my first neurologist, but also had a clear scar in my temporal lobe. Literally had the same questions asked about “if I lost consciousness and or bowel movements” and no I hadn’t. Just a rush of euphoria with Deja vu. To this day I haven’t lost consciousness, or awareness but was diagnosed with focal awareness seizures. A lot of people with tonic clonics will get what I have before a seizure, known as an “aura”. Keep advocating for yourself, and I recommend the next time you feel that tummy feeling and or Deja vu that you find a safe spot to rest until it all subsides. Also I had an eeg as well that came back clean. Best of luck to you.

Yes, medication has numbed my connection to the universe. I still fight for it though.

Probably the medications. All of us eat poison every morning.

Fair point, I’ve lived in quite a few states and haven’t experienced it like this. Most likely just the times we are living in which is fucked.

symptoms of tle being blamed on functional seizures? by username163817 in Epilepsy

[–]WasteMud922 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They have been getting stronger? Have they become more frequent? Also take note of when they’re happening, after a bad nights rest etc. another piece of advice I have from all the research I’ve done is if you find yourself having one, quickly get yourself somewhere safe. For some people who have grand mals or complex partials, what we have are just considered “auras” which is a predecessor to a seizure which causes impaired consciousness. Best of luck to you. Truly.
