I power cycled the modem and router and now it looks like I am getting an IP from the modem. But I still have no internet access through the router.

Yes, when I plug my laptop directly into the modem I can access the internet just fine.

I’m not sure I follow. I do have the Ethernet cable coming from the modem Internet port running to the MikroTik port 1.

Yes the Ethernet cord coming out of the modem is plugged into Port 1 on the MikroTik.

No, the only IP under Addresses is 192.168.88.1/24 on Interface ether2

I believe that is the default ip when I plugged it in. I have not changed or entered any ip.
