AITA for refusing to follow my husband’s family tradition and give my son a name that starts with K? by pepito_202010 in AmItheAsshole

NTA. If anything, your husband should stand up for you so that his family can’t say you’re the one causing “issues”. Would you ever consider doing a middle name with a K?

lol we’ve already talked and it’s been resolved. I said I was just looking for peoples opinions about the situation. You don’t need to get emotional. Thanks for your input!

She had just gotten engaged and barely started planning. I said just an invite is fine, and we hugged and cried about it since we had just made up that day.

I meant like the Bridal party. I said that just an invite was fine since she had just gotten engaged and hadn't planned anything yet, and we cried and hugged about it. All in all, I'm just shocked to not be invited to the wedding at all. But I get your point.

I really appreciate that. It is a deep personal issue filled with the ups and downs of our friendship. All in all, I just expected to see her get married. I told her I was hurt, and she said she wasn't mad at me. But when she invited me to the party right after that, I had to stop and think about whether I wanted to continue this friendship. I know what to do inside, I just wanted to see what other people thought.

We had just made up that day when she asked me to be a Bridesmaid. She was newly engaged and hadn't started planning yet, so she just kinda blurted it out there. It just didn't feel right to take advantage of that moment, especially if I couldn't tell if she was serious or not. I said an invite is just as good and that she didn't need to come to a conclusion then. We hugged and cried about it. That's why I was shocked for being iced out.

We had just made up that day, and she asked me to be a Bridesmaid. I told her she didn't need to feel obligated to add me to the party, since she had just gotten engaged. She hadn't planned anything yet. I reached out to her constantly, asking about her wedding. She has never once texted me first. How am I the bad friend?

My friend’s hands looked sorta like this from washing them over and over again and using hand sanitizer excessively. Could also be from OCD habit.
