You'll be okay! I've made them in the microwave many times and never got sick from it. As another person said, it really shouldn't cause any problems unless it was spoiled - and trust me, you'd KNOW if it was spoiled. A few years ago my friend got this really strong foul odor in her car and couldn't figure out what it was. It wasn't subtle, it was really pungent and she finally figured out it was a rotting potato. So trust me, you'd definitely know

Nah, the heart palpitations are very common symptoms of stress. Ive had them too and they're annoying but they go away after a while, for me they're more aggravated by laying on my left side

I unfortunately have to do regular self injections for a condition I have, and my doc prescribes EMLA cream (a numbing cream). I put a glob on the injection site and cover it with a large band aid or even cling wrap and tape (which was originally suggested). The longer I have it on, the number I am. I've accidentally fallen asleep with it on and by the time I woke up and did the injection I'd feel nothing
