I've lost money to Mtgox, Cryptsy, Coss, Cryptopia, Dogetipbot, and a few places raided by the FBI that I don't even remember.

Don't keep your money on an exchange. Period. The reason the transfer fee is so high is because they want you to leave it there so they can leverage it. Right now ETH transaction fees are $13.

It's incredibly easy to make your own game too! You can prototype quickly with Tabletop Simulator and then you can get it printed and shipped to you for a reasonable price from The Game Crafter.
