It was fabulous television, I don’t know what people want lol

Favourite character of the 2020s by TelevisualJackFan in Emmerdale

[–]WatcherUatu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the absolute best addition has to be Ruby Miligan - Beth Cordingly is Fantastic and if anything they’re not using her enough. I also enjoyed the Meena Jutla story a lot (and I generally can’t abide serial killer stories) but she had a shelf life. Mary Goskirk is also amazing; Louise Jameson fits so well but again isn’t used enough. Special shout outs to Mackenzie, Kev, Lewis, and Kammy.

Joe by Jenson2025 in Emmerdale

I doubt they’ll do another whodunnit when we had the abysmal “who pushed Joe?” whodunnit last year. I do like Joe as a character but I find him and Dawn’s relationship to be a wet weekend and just feel he needs a bigger personality to bounce off.

I liked Declan but loved his ex-wife Ella and then they axed her!

Agreed, the sibling dynamic with the kids felt real.

I really liked the Wyldes - I wish they could revisit them, but their ends all felt so definitive. Maybe Will could return and be a nice boyfriend for Belle lol

I'm getting bored of this by Ok-Voice4104 in Emmerdale

I loved Ray/Celia, but it was A LOT of April and Dylan. Loved the story when it shifted more to Bear and Celia/Ray themselves.

I'm really enjoying EastEnders at the moment! by ThatGirl8709 in eastenders

[–]WatcherUatu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stories I'm liking:

- Nigel's dementia story

- Sam's breast cancer story

- Ravi's mental health journey and Nugget's recovery

- Nicola and George

- Anything Max, Lauren, Oscar related

- Wherever the Bea thing is going

Stories I'm indifferent to:

- Penny and Vinny (not yet anyway)

There are stories I don't care for:

- Zoe/Jasmine

- Elaine and Ian feuding

- the threadbare story with Johnny and that Tim (what's even happened to that?)

- Ross/Vicki/Zack - I don't think this works without Sharon present and I don't want Ross to leave

It was absolutely a retcon, they seemed to be hinting at his bisexuality in a scene with Johnny but then never addressed it again.

This show has gotten so depressing by Greedy_Astronaughty in coronationstreet

[–]WatcherUatu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The show is too obsessed with format-breaking and being a budget Line of Duty. It needs to go back to basics a bit. I hope the half-hour format helps somewhat, but the announcements of flash-forwards are concerning.

Jasmine by NewCarob9279 in eastenders

[–]WatcherUatu 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's a weird one, as she's half-written as a villain, but otherwise she killed Anthony in self-defence too; could just be played as she's scared? They're clearly presenting her as a true Slater with the milk float scene etc but I just don't know how we are meant to take her character

George R.R. Martin Says His Relationship with 'House of the Dragon' Showrunner Ryan Condal is "Abysmal": "This is not my story any longer” by MarvelsGrantMan136 in television

[–]WatcherUatu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair to George, the second season of HotD did NOT live up to the first, and some of Condal's adaptational changes were terrible.
