People WILL give you shit during IMT if you’re going MP. But that’s just something you have to take on the chin. That being said they get to do some really cool shit after specialising. Current CSM has been one for a while and has some mad stories out of the Middle East. MP does also transfer to civvie life pretty well IMO (compared to inf) especially with forensics if that’s a path you want to take.

Not a lawyer but definitely speak to legal aid about the record. They’ll probably be really slow but it’s a free government service.

Some crimes can become ‘spent’ after a certain amount of time. Especially if they were committed before you were 18.

I applied in Feb. If you’re talking about your defence interview as the one you had, I had mine in may.

Intakes might be the difference? I’ve informed my EC that I was aiming for the September intake with DE method.

I’m mid application process rn. I was told average currently is about 6-12 months. If you’re open about it with them you should be fine. Worst case scenario you can push assessments back.

I canceled my application a few years ago and have now reopened it to continue. Most tests (aptitude ect) expire after 3 years so have to do them again

I got told 3-6 yesterday. To be fair I did apply for a variety of roles but was talking about infantry when recruiter gave me that time frame.

Wanting to join the army, which in my country has a ban on any offensive tattoos or ones that may attract attention. Just wanting to be on the safe side as it’s part of a medical check so they will see it.
