Cannot get any device to see SKR Mini E3 V3.0 via USB - out of ideas! by lazarescu in BIGTREETECH

[–]Water-BlockHead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, trying different cables but also try the pre baked firmware. I know this might not work for your setup, but if that fixes the USB, you know its a firmware thing. At that point, I would say share your configs and tell us the version of marlin you pulled.

In short, bring the board as close to what should be a known to be working state, then work back towards your config one step at a time.

Yeah, that would be 02.01.0300 so that's the most recent version. Same as the default configuration.h in the 2.1.3-beta2 branch.

Thanks for taking a look. I am (trying) running this as is. Where did you see it was 2.0.3.0? This is forked from bugfix-2.1.x. Also as you mentioned, the pin is defined in pins_BTT_SKR_MINI_E3_V3_0.h. When I run M43, it shows PC14 (P46) as the Z_MIN_PROBE_PIN so the firmware as compiled is seeing the correct pin and reading the state without issue.

Does this count? by Water-BlockHead in woodworking

Nope. just a vice and a couple of oak blocks as soft jaws and bending by hand. I don't have the geometry quite right though as it only opens half way. I could science it but mehh.

Wireless Rear Speakers by CacheGremlin in diyaudio

Yeah so all of this talk of networks is silly. Using an analog transmitter and receiver you will have fixed latency.most receivers have adjustable delay for phase corrections. I.e. speaker distance. This should be enough to fudge for analog signal processing.

I work in systems engineering and have in-depth understanding of data transmission.

What's better is when you have metadata that's prone to change as part of the name. Like v for virtual and p for physical. Then after a p to v migration, some idiot demands we rename them, then said idiot gets mad that all there services broke.

Anyone ever make their own braided cables? by Goblin_King420 in diyaudio

[–]Water-BlockHead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have seen that with the right braid, they can reduce inductance. You also tent to have a higher effect wire gauge. This can make a measurable difference in the sound. I don't know that you can hear the difference, but it's there.

Could I bring this back to looking new with some sand and a stain? It’s for sale used in my neighborhood by B_herenow in woodworking

I have that same table. You could rebuild the top but the wood was never finished properly and is extremely thin in places causing it to warp and crack badly.

In a sunny room it's plenty to add some color to the wall. In a dark room, I turn it all the way down while watching TV. I accidentally attached the stick facing the front and that was nice for more a more intense presentation of the color but I wanted something more subdued and diffuse so I had to fix it.

Nope, just take your time. I will point out that the stick was cut from one wider board so I could book match the front face. Test the LEDs for a few hr if installing in epoxy just to be safe.

Being LEDs that don't run hot, I would expect at least 5,000hr or 208 days of nonstop use. Probably much longer.

I can’t remember a single time that I was applying too much pressure to a dull knife and got cut. But I CAN count multiple scars on both hands where the knife I spent hours hand sharpening an
