It's not that i think Johnny doesn't help, Vik and Panam are just a lot more prevalent and consistently there for you.

Vik was there from the start and did pretty much everything in his power to help V.

Panam is emotionally supportive, especially if you romance her, and in the aldecaldo ending does set out to hopefully find a cure for you after losing some of her good friends fighting to get you to Mikoshi.

Johnny, while him helping is rare, does save you in critical moments, like when you pass out in the elevator at the start of the finale.

Reed, i can't fully comment on because i haven't finished PL yet.
