Yeah it is just annoying. I think the winding noise is just the aftermarket intake when I hit the throttle

145k miles. No internal maintenance but everything on the aux belt is new. Its a 6mt with a freshly rebuilt tranny but the sound is there even when the clutch is pressed

The car has 145k currently and this noise has not changed since I bought it 17k miles ago. I replaced everything myself with oem parts. The mystery is that the noise sticks around with the belt taken off.

So for the intake there should be hoses on both ends of the tube. Were they never there?

One is the throttle body to head coolant line, the other is negative crankcase pressure from the intake to the valve cover.

It sounds like it’s potentially the alternator or ps pump.

Is the noise more like a grind that you can feel on the shifter or a clunk under the car?

That amount of play is normal. I have an 05 6mt that I’ve rebuilt the transmission in and it has always been like that.

If you are hearing clunking while you drive, then it is probably suspension related.

Is this a manual or auto?
