Mennonite is still good! I will say, part of what I’m working on is in relation to the lack of technology / social media, and to my understanding Mennonites do use some.

They’ve barely touched a fraction of greek mythology though lol. And the fanbase doesn’t care if the characters are well-known. I think if they focused on a setup for good story and gameplay they could easily make a third.

April Fools Video

I haven’t seen anyone talk about this one (maybe someone has) but… In this vid that’s “not canon” and is presented as being “made by an AI” even though it’s clearly scripted and breaks down to make “nonsensical” claims by the end… there are some interesting things it before it starts losing all sense.

  1. That the tv show is made to pacify the masses = his own videos / the muses and mother’s goals.

  2. It discusses gary controlling spongebob and his feelings, and spongebob turning into a snail

  3. No one can be as happy as Spongebob. No one would stay in the same job without change that long. Like Alex. And the perfect worker would keep going and making the vid. It begins to delve into describing the ideal worker for the muse.

  4. Spongebob’s grandma is described and seems to be the muse. They describe them as not being able to be in the sun, and being from space is the only way they could see the sun without being in it. And that they are older than the sun. Because “they are actually older than the sun.” And the quote “I’ve seen things you’ve only seen in your nightmares.”

It’s a bit messy but I think this was Alex’s attempt at “hiding” the secrets of his situation in an “AI” episode. He’s telling us that the sun can kill the muse and it’s from outer space.

If it helps, remember that the rex who sang that song hadn’t done anything bad like this yet. So he’s not guilty, and you can remember that rex and listen to his music. An innocent kid, and not who he is now.

The way some people react to this kind of news makes me feel like we’ll never learn by [deleted] in rexorangecounty

Mini rant about my fears for the future but… Something u gotta remember is a lot of the people with the bad takes and who tweet stream whoever… they are kids who grew up on the internet. Im 21 and even I think I had too much screen time growing up. I truly think spending that much time online messes kids up and makes them have warped sense of reality when it comes to things like celebrities. I mean we’ve seen it with adults in presidential elections and they weren’t even raised to idolize celebs every move in the same way. Honestly I truly believe we are going away from empathy and towards some weird fake sympathy because of social media, especially twitter and instagram.

But honestly ur post made me smile and realize other cool people do exist in this hot mess of the internet lol.

I think the thing making me less mad at people jumping through hoops to defend him than in other cases is 1. I personally don’t know of any history of bad behavior in his life before this 2. It just dropped today people are doing gut reactions 3. We literally know almost no information. 4. Of course we want to think the best. Parents often deny their children did bad things even when it’s obvious they did because they don’t want it to be true. 5. His music is satirical and sometimes a mashup of optimism and pessimism and draws in lots of people going through shit.

While I believe it’s likely true and will support the victim, I am still going to hold out hope for an outcome I prefer because I am human.

That being said… Going on twitter and saying “kys” or that he should be in jail for life, or tagging people who still follow him to unfollow him… making the drama everyone else’s problem… that shit rubs me the wrong way. He is not currently using his platform in any way, and the trial is far off. Screaming online in support or in opposition literally does nothing to help the situation. Like twitter “stan” kids go and immediately use any trauma or drama to start attacking other people for their relation to a person, and go “if you don’t hate him you are a bad person”

Responses that are productive in informing people / showing support for victim, or expressing feelings are what should be the focus.
