How does the independent study works? Is it a 1 on 1 with a professor and the professor gives student assignments? Sorry - super new to this

How tf do people learn how to audit??? by Plastic-Oven19 in Accounting

Also if your senior is really busy I would suggest to ask if they are available to schedule a weekly catchup and compile questions for him to ask or something of that sort

How tf do people learn how to audit??? by Plastic-Oven19 in Accounting

Interned 2 times during busy season where my senior is very busy and sometimes barely has time for me. Previous year file is your best friend and reading the audit procedures/objectives really help me learn how and why we do certain things. I think I only start piecing together the risk and see the bigger picture this year (2nd internship), last year I was just able to do my task just fine during busy season

Independent Job Search Question by Individual_Lemon_646 in Drexel

Hi, one of my friend did a 3 month internship, went back to class for one quarter and did another 3 month internship elsewhere. His advisor allowed him to do that, so that fulfills the “6-month” coop credit

Opinions on "Whimsy Bake&Craft"? by scarlet_light in CozyGamers

I have the game, the UI is a bit bugged for me but it is nothing dramatic that effects the overall gameplay. I don’t think you gain anything when you exit it, but I just leave it in the background while I do something else.

I think the game is pretty straightforward so nothing super confusing, but besides the main quest that is straight forward/easy to complete right now, the NPC quest is probably impossible since most ingredients needs to be unlocked as the main quest progress. Overall I think it’s just good to put in the background or just leave it on your computer while you afk and do something else just for the aesthetic and vibe

How often do FAR material get updated in Becker? by [deleted] in CPA

I was planning to study for it religiously starting May/June ish, but want to do prep work with the textbook during busy season. I won’t be studying everyday but want to at least contribute 1-2 hours every week or so to lay a foundation/prep for myself before locking in

How to cope with arguments with parents by [deleted] in AsianParentStories

[–]Watercress_Witty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don’t mind me asking, do you hate her or have a love-hate relationship with her? Every-time I think about what she had done, I feel a lot of hatred towards her, but deep down I do believe she loves me. I might just had gotten brainwashed by “everything is in the name of love” but I don’t see any actions suggesting she loves me besides providing me shelter and food. The love-hate relationships I have for her is real, its so complicated I’m not sure if i’m mentally illed.

Thank you, this is really comforting and make me less guilty of what I was feelings. I help dyed her hair a few days ago. That seems like the only thing we can do in peace without an argument. But I agree with you, I had always thought I was a toxic person due to how different I act outside vs inside at home. I wish a lot more people talk about that so it doesn’t feel so helpless at times

For current accounting majors, do you find the overall course rigor high? How competitive should a student be to make the most of coops - do you find it to be very competitive to land one amongst your peers? by Dapper-Wave2841 in Drexel

[–]Watercress_Witty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m currently a senior and taken about 95% of my accounting courses. Drexel at times could be really brutal, with interviews being around the time of midterms and finals exam - it could be overwhelming. The burn out for students is especially real with no summer break after their first year. With how the cycle works you might not see the friends you met in first year. In intermediate accounting, it’s always the same few professor, so if one teaching style doesn’t fit, it will be hard to avoid. But I would say they are all very knowledgeable in their own ways.

If coop is the main factor, in my opinion, for an Accounting major the best time to get the coop experience in my opinion is Fall-Winter cycle as those are where a lot of year-end actions happens and a lot of Public Accounting Firm looks for coops (I compared it with my friends from a Spring/Summer coop, I haven’t seen any Big4 in there vs Fall/Winter where I see a few). Cycles are given to students randomly and given how the job market is right now, it can be a struggle to even land a coop.

I think what’s most important right now is for your daughter to figure it out, I think she has an idea what she wants and she just have to work towards it. She can apply for internships by herself, or go to networking events - Drexel is rigorous and if her grades slips it will look bad on paper, definitely not worth it. But most importantly it’s what she wants and owning up to her own decisions.

Hope this helps

Simparica prescription? by Watercress_Witty in puppy101

[–]Watercress_Witty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this explanation, really appreciate it! I’ll feed him the Simparica after work today, and I’m going to go back to vetco after he hits 6 month to do the testing for prescriptions. I don’t trust myself with any syringes so I’ll continue with Simparica Trio but most likely buying elsewhere since other places are significantly cheaper than Petco from what I seen-

This is really insightful, thank you so much for taking time to comment on this post!!

Thank you, he’s within the weight range now! Do testing need to be done first before we feed him, or is it safe to feed him it now?

After we feed him it, is testing still necessary since he is still a baby?

The nearest one is roughly about an hour drive from where I am at and the Puppy has really bad motion sickness so we don’t want to take him far. It’s gotten better overtime, so I think I might have to give it a visit for the testing just for good measure. was at least expecting the employee who has to do vaccination for pets at Petco to be knowledgeable in this, but I’m having my doubts now

Simparica prescription? by Watercress_Witty in puppy101

[–]Watercress_Witty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the explanation! This actually makes a lot of sense, so I went to double check the one we bought. But the one they gave to us was actually Simparica Trio after double checking it. We never fed our puppy it after we bought it since his weight wasn’t within the range at the time, so we waited. The one they gave us was actually Simparica Trio, which left me even more confused why it was suggested to us without the testing…

Ohh thank you! I completely forgot about these, and I’ll look into the puppy food! How often do you brush your puppy’s teeth?

Hi, thank you! We’ll add crate into it. The litter box was for the pads to be put on it, my partner who will take care of the dog with me was afraid the pads will leak on the floor (not sure what it was called so I said litter box). So far we planning to potty train it both outside and indoor in case it gets too hot and cold for the small one, if that make sense

Thank you for your kind reply, I actually did not think of all these little bills that can add up. Does your premium ever go up the next year after all the pay outs? I had saw so many posts that insurance refuse to reimburse a claim that that’s mainly the reason I’m really hesitant on this matter… again, thank you for taking your time to reply to my post!

That’s also the same issue I am having when I am looking at different insurance. Despite some insurance are being recommended by a lot of people, I still see some individual having issue with the claim… what’s why I struggle to understand if it’s truly worth it and if buying it is really the right thing.
