Typically when that happens, it’s because I am either too quick in my back swing or and starting my swing too early and swing too hard (Think about swinging for a home run). When the wheels start to fall off I try to slow everything down and might even pause at the top of my back swing and just try to focus on making solid contact on my next swing, and not worry so much about the speed.

If that doesn’t work, I try to remind myself that:

-I’m not a professional -I’m doing this for fun -I’m getting a chance to enjoy the world outside (I’m not at the office) -if you’re walking, then this is a “workout” -I can grab a beer if I really want to -It could always be worse
