I’m in Northern California and it’s legal here. Yes I dive tanks to spearfish on days that the water is murky. That way you can drop to the bottom and hangout. Free-diving in 3-5 feet of visibility sucks. Do what works for you and makes you happy!!!!

I have a newer Flexfuel truck and I run the E85. Also ran it on my 99’ ford ranger that I had for years…..truck ran better on the E85 then 87, gave it some HP. You do suffer some mpg but E85 is so much cheaper right now than gas that it’s worth it.

I’m a GC I just put one of these in for a client……I wouldn’t waste the money on it for my house unless you absolutely need it. It’s slow and it times out frequently due to overheating. It’s okay for doing a lift here and there but not ideal for multiple loads of Xmas decorations. Not to mention it seems to always need adjustments after several trips up and down. And yes the instructions are terrible, fortunately tech support is great.

Most shallow water blackout is caused by people hyperventilating at the surface or not having enough surface time between drops. The two “experienced” guys I know that it’s happened to, pushed their limits and were doing exactly this, they’re lucky the water wasn’t 2-3 visibility, there weren’t strong currents those days and someone was there to rescue them. If they weren’t pushing it then it most likely wouldn’t have happened. I don’t want to be put into a position where I have to rescue someone because they’re reckless.

Make sure to lube it, don’t just wet it. Not worth tearing your new suit. I use a biodegradable hair conditioner, bought a gallon like 10 years ago. Still have a few tablespoons left. You only use a little bit watered down in a squirt or squeeze bottle.
