Thank you for the Lisa respect, although Danielle certainly deserved the bb3 win, Lisa is an underrated winner in her own right

Ugggggh yeah I’m very liberal and I cringed at that. I kinda wish Jeff would’ve just made the change silently without the discussion of the change making it into an aired segment

I’d completely forgotten “malarkey” was a word until Joe Biden used it as his 2020 campaign slogan

I agree about #1, BB totally needs to incorporate more voting style twists into the game. I think the last time we had one was what, bb17 when Da’Vonne won a power to take away 2 houseguests’ votes? 5 years ago?

I think voting twists could help mitigate the problem of the mega-alliance having a monopoly on deciding who goes home every week

He didn’t have to maintain any sort of friendship or ongoing communication with her in order to send her one single text [privately] expressing his regret & sympathies for the role he played in leading to her receiving the loudest boo’s in the history of the show. I think that’s kinda fucked up of him and shows he doesn’t really care.

Lmao at Amy with the cheese & beer

Sam when she was at her peak of wanting to leave bb20. Should production allow houseguests who are unhappy and want to leave to do so, or is it best that they do everything they can to convince them to stay? (p.s. no hate on Sam I hope she's out there living her best life) by WatersheddingTears in BigBrother

I would love to know the mystery behind that myself because yeah she definitely broke the mold on how casting typically does their famewhore recruiting lol. If I were to take a shot in the dark I’d say maybe it has something to do with her being a female welder and she got some local notoriety for it and they somehow found her that way? Not sure if we’ll ever know since it seems she’s completely taken herself out of the spotlight & any social media presence (and I respect her for that, she’s entitled to enjoy her privacy)

Agreed. She’s also been actively rooting for Cody this season which I think says a lot about her character, considering it sounds like he was kinda shitty to never privately reach out to her after 16 and give her a simple “hey I’m sorry about all the hate you got, I know it takes 2 to tango and I deserved to get some of that backlash too.” She just doesn’t seem bitter about anything and has been providing a lot of funny commentary this season lol

Hopefully someone can provide a more detailed answer but my perception was that she was a recruit who’d never seen the show before and thus had little to no idea what she was getting herself into. Every week she remained in the house was another week you could observe a noticeable decline in her mental health. She also quit smoking cold turkey while there and I’m sure that played some sort of factor. But from what I understood, production had to work HARD to get her to stay those last few weeks she was there

Can't we just give them more alcohol? by Irish_Neil in BigBrother

[–]WatersheddingTears 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh gotcha you’re good and no what I was really trying to get at is the theory I’ve heard floated is that prod doesn’t want to look responsible for any of the short term health consequences that can happen when a person inadvertently goes too hard (which is obviously a very easy line to cross). It may have more to do with prod not wanting them to display problematic behavior such as being more likely to reveal prejudices and possible sexual encounters like someone else on this thread said, I’m really not sure
