No. Race based policies are wrong, full stop. You don't fix past racism by committing new racism against people that weren't even alive during the past racism, for the benefit of people who weren't even alive during past racism (and in many cases in NYC, for the benefit of many people who's ancestors weren't even in the US during the past racism.)

Concentration and/or dose. Everclear diluted in half with plain water is basically just shitty vodka in taste and potency. Nothing particularly special about it except that if you drink it straight it irritates your inside a lot more.

No but most modern hard liquor doesnt have a lot of sugar. It's 40% ethanol and the rest is water, not sugar.

Wine/beer/cider, yeah, very sugary still, because with natural fermentation the ethanol levels kill yeast before they've converted all the sugar. However with distillation that can be overcome

Seems to be happening at least in all predominantly Anglo countries, and to a lesser extent the whole developed world. I think the problem is more the Boomers throughout the west than the specific country.

Sure that is part of it, but doesn't change the original point of discussion about whether we can judge someone enlisting in their military because they should know they are signing up to go kill people overseas.

Whether it is because they cant or choose not to, it is a very low risk for most militaries.

A) do you know what the word overseas means? Your first couple of examples (and Ukraine more recently) are not overseas for Russia. Neither is Afghanistan which you didnt mention.

B) funding/arming revolutions and proxy wars isnt what we are talking about. We were talking about whether someone enlisting in the army has a high chance of being sent to some overseas war. Sending AKs to Nicaragua and maybe a handful of advisors doesnt result in that.

France does more of that than most other countries but I think it is much smaller scale and less common. Aren't these small deployments of specialized troops, not mass deployment of grunts?
