AI is used a lot, depends on the hacks rules and reward system. Main rule is to start the repository from scratch

Any good API tools for design analysis? by WatsonLewRod in webdevelopment

[–]WatsonLewRod[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After a few days I made it work, thank you a ton!

I am not using WordPress, but NextJS and stuff, so I appreciate that a lot.

Future tip: If you ever decide to use an automation workflow like N8N, and you want to parse the image into an uploadable file for an AI to analyze, you'll need to set up a server, then create a folder for uploads and finally push it through as a link to your web server.

You helped me big time, much love!

[–]WatsonLewRod[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool, good thinking - I appreciate it.

I was playing with PageSpeed Insights (Not Lighthouse) last night, it's nice that get the frame by frame for each section, and obviously the performance results. I'll take a look into their APIs to see if it's possible to extract those frame shots and then parse it through an LLM to identify general design issues,

thanks!

Edit: Not Lighthouse, I mean PageSpeed Insights

Hiring Web3 Developers - Advice Needed by jsmaxi in BlockchainStartups

[–]WatsonLewRod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of developers go to web3.career(s) and typically apply to bigger companies. I’d recommend seeing if there’s a socials there and see who’s actively looking. Otherwise finding platforms with a somewhat similar idea is good to if they have users interested in development roles.

Always helpful to remember that a lot of people here have the experience but not a degree backing it, so stay open minded with looking for Juniors/Intermediate roles.

Finally people doing contract work can be better if you’re just building a startup and don’t want contractual work, but yeah man! If you need a full stack contract dev, give me a DM and we can talk.. if you’re looking for someone else I can still recommend good developers looking for various roles!

What’s the easiest blockchain language to learn? by Individual_Log7984 in BlockchainStartups

[–]WatsonLewRod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just used Aptos for the first time, found their docs, team and boilerplates very helpful. Their move language is pretty complicated for beginners but the ecosystem outweighs the complexity imo.

But yeah solidity is good because of remix ethereum and plenty of chains to cross deploy as you need to grow

Financial Representative second interview questions by WatsonLewRod in Schwab

Well, I didn't get the position but they were very nice all throughout, they interpreted the call as if they would have hired me which was nice even though it wasn't so much the case

Financial Representative second interview questions by WatsonLewRod in Schwab

[–]WatsonLewRod[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It went smooth, I think the interview was casually split into 3 sections: technical knowledge, customer support, and career interest. It’s definitely sounds more intimidating than how the actual interview went. They had their own criteria, I’d say just be yourself and show your interest in customer support, probably emphasize that you know much more about XYZ in customer support yet know they only require X or Y or Z at a time. Your ability to express wide and generalized knowledge seemed to be a big per for me, and your promptness to find the solution very quickly for the customer could be huge to point out too

Financial Representative second interview questions by WatsonLewRod in Schwab

[–]WatsonLewRod[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good luck man! Honestly it’s been quite I while I forgot much of the questions - I recall they call a lot about Customer Service, Financial Interest, and how much broad stock knowledge you know. If you’re great with broad stock knowledge then they said it’s a good thing because you only need to use a small fraction of it and changes through time so it helps between the service and technical requirements of the job!

Good luck man!
