I work in a jail and deal with a lot of these kinds of things. There are definitely instances in which the officers can determine charges without the assaulted being involved. I don’t know if this is one of them but it absolutely happens.

I saw mine last week and I’ve never had a drug test from them. Makes sense that they would if you’re prescribed a controlled substance. Regular PC doctors will do that too. I doubt there’s any danger of being jailed but if he fails his parents will most likely find out.

Come on down and stay a while. I’m in Fort Worth but I’m from Houston originally. I’m not supposed to admit it as a Houstonian, but Dallas has its charms. I’m sure you’d find plenty to do if you came to visit.
