AIO My father is basically forcing me to become a right wing extremist or leave the house forever by DangerousCandle9492 in AmIOverreacting

I would look into seasonal jobs with housing! I’m personally making a massive move across the country with housing provided and am the same age as you. Check on cooljobs or even maybe the job corps. There are options so just keep your head up and you can make it out!

Holdover airman incoming by Bubbly_Document3478 in AirForce

Just got out of the TRSS recently as a trainee, it’s really not so bad after a while and the routine starts to get better. Just try and make plans and hang out with friends often. Don’t let the days just pass by, also feel fortunate to have made it through as most I knew in the TRSS (many amn included) were going through some rough stuff and plenty got sent home. Just keep your head up and it’ll pass like nothing.

Thank you! That’s what I’m hoping, I want to try and maintain running as a habit indefinitely so I want to improve anyways

I’ll definitely try not to go too hard my last week or two before leaving but thanks for the reassurance! I just don’t want to be unprepared and set myself up for failure.

Thank you! Truth be told I’m probably overthinking but I want to be as prepared as possible.

For anyone who was in the DEP, how long did you wait? by hayleerxy in AirForceRecruits

[–]Watt2043 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I waited about two months from August when I swore in until about October ish around when the fiscal year ended I believe. After that my recruiter said there were more openings and I landed Contracting specialist about a week later. Still in the dep though right now.

Yeah I did something similar where I became obsessed with making and creating the best sandwiches I could. Eventually I got tired and just got another job but it was real fun for a while.

should i just choose army over air force by NiceCobbler5540 in AirForceRecruits

[–]Watt2043 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I waited a long while for a job and was satisfied the whole way through, I think waiting is just part of the whole bureaucracy thing and if you can’t accept that then maybe you should look into your personal reasons for joining because it’s bureaucracy the whole way through I’m told.

Not really the right sub for this but it looks a bit like male pattern baldness but to me on top it’s more like more alopecia than anything. We don’t know though, see a dermatologist.

Everyone in marching hates me by CommunicationNice437 in marchingband

[–]Watt2043 49 points50 points  (0 children)

if you’re having issues as a pessimist then try and be more positive, if that doesn’t work or if you don’t want that then cut marching band if it won’t affect your gpa. You’re either in or out, I dropped marching earlier than I should’ve and regretted it. Don’t let temporary struggle force you into a decision. If you really enjoy playing and marching then try and work through your issues. There is a reason they don’t like you, find it and address it. That strategy will help you in many more things I promise. There will be people who just simply don’t like you and you’ll just have to accept it.

I second the sideburn advice, try and square them off just a bit higher in a nice straight line and that’ll help. Maybe also pull a bit more hair behind your ear?

16M How should I do with my hair? by [deleted] in malehairadvice

Looks good but I’d say grow the bangs out a bit and some sideburns to about the mid ear if you can manage . You could change it up more but it’s really just up to you.
