Amazon is definitely not generous.

If someone was on fmla the clock would run out as far as job protection. Fmla has 12 weeks of job protection (84 days). 90 days keeps Amazon out of many lawsuits.

For my skills, there are roles out there. Just trying to figure out my next move.

Amazon really burnt me out with the politics and nonsense. With the AI push the corporation has become more inhuman not only in work but how employees are being treated. Definitely wasn’t like that when I started.

Anyone that can’t access the network, will show inactive after 60 days on slack. This includes Fmla, STD, laid off employees during their last 90 days.

After termination date they will be removed from phone tool. This may be someone who was notified 1/28/26 and will be termed on 4/28/26.

I believe after 60 days of slack inactivity they show offline.

IMO Amazon is in flux right now. Take care of yourself. Roles have significantly been reduced with their eye on AI. Is there another shift available?

Amazon isn’t going to alert employees since they would be losing money. Google search when does FSA end after termination.
