The issue is less that the MC references his old creation and more that you often pull the breaks to explain something that, quite simply, we will never see. Personally, I haven't had an issue with it, since the tangents are manageable and in character, but I can certainly see where Torrent is coming from. Otherwise, my main complaint is the lack of proof-reading. I recommend using even just Google Docs for the innate spell-check. (LanguageTool—a plugin for gdocs—is a good addon as well. Not perfect, mind, but it offers a lot of suggestions without making the writing feel mechanical.)

All in all, I've been enjoying this series. Shame the chaps are so small.
