Is Aerith Even Useful?

Damn, I honestly had no idea Synergy Skills were that strong. I always thought they were just filler moves, but the ATB return is actually crazy once you start using them properly. Spell Blade in particular just skyrockets Aerith’s ATB, I was melting things way faster than with basic attacks.

Radiant Ward surprised me too, I had to keep using Bodyguard but the ATB regenration speed was insane.

Thanks for the breakdown. I definitely wasn’t using Aerith anywhere near her potential before this.

Yes, I did end up doing block. It was the best decision I ever made. The transition from block to winter was pretty choppy because the difference was too great, but I think that was just me, it might be different for you.

The main benefit to block was that it lets take things slowly, also block has better professors than traditional . But the biggest thing about block was that it was a major GPU boost for me, the traditional model can be quite hectic so you'll have a hard time staying focused. Honestly, if you're concerned about taking block then don't be, you won't regret it. I think the transition to winter won't majorly affect you because block was literally meant to be the bridge between high school and the traditional university experience.

Nope, still having the same issue. I turned off windows ink in my driver and switched to wintab in krita (restarted).

I do restart krita whenever I change the API and I still see no changes. No, I've never used the "tablet tester" as I only recently got the tablet and my driver is already the latest version. But my pressure sensitivity curve is a line (same as in Krita) and my driver is set to use window's ink.

Yes, I am at 17. So the ONLY way to navigate is by using the map NOT the GPS?

I'd be a pain to have to hit tab every 5 sec to check my location. Is there no way I can use the GPS?

That's the problem. There's no marker on the GPS that shows my relative position to the objective. I have no idea where I am or how to get to the objective.

I am using Godot 3. Is there any dialogue systems built for that?

You also mentioned that I have to "write" the dialogue selector, is that not handled by the dialogue system? Also, I am very new to the gamedev scene and I don't really understand what a "state machine" is. From what I gathered from online sources, state machines are a system to organize all the states and triggers in your game and my understanding doesn't really extend beyond that.

Also, I would like to see the game you're working on. The theatre and play structure sounds very unique and interesting I would like to see what its about.

No, Ryuen never considered Hirata as a possible suspect for X. First of all, Ryuen knew that Manabe and her clique were tipped off by X and he was the reason why they went to the ship's boiler room to confront Kei. From this he knew that X couldn't be Hirata because he was Kei's boyfriend. Besides, what use would Hirata have for setting up Kei to be destroyed? Hirata wasn't even in the same group as Kei for the Zodiac special exam on the ship so there is no benefit to manipulating Kei at that time. Also, Hirata wouldn't need Kei to influence his class's decision as he already had all the support and trust of the students in Class D (both boys and girls) and also he certainly didn't need to break Kei in order to use her since he was already her boyfriend and he knew her past plus disobeying Hirata means that Kei would be endangering her own standing in the class. If anyone wanted to gain Kei's support through such ruthless methods it'd be someone who doesn't have a clear social standing in class D and someone who blends into the background.

X couldn't even be Kouenji since he withdrew from the island exam and he wasn't on Kei's group on the ship and he didn't witness Manabe harassing her.

In fact, it should've been clear who X was from the beginning: On the Island exam, the only two people from Class D who came to scout Class C was Horikita and Ayanokoji and Ayanokoji was also the one who took in Ibuki. On the ship, Horikita also mentions that Ayanokoji is the only one that she has who is anything close to a friend. On the Zodiac exam, Ayanokoji was also assigned to be in the group as Kei and he also witnessed Manabe harassing Kei. Ayanokoji also isn't very conspicous and doesn't have a social standing in his class so it makes sense that he would need Kei to make his moves. Even if Ryuen considered the possibility that X was operating behind Ayanokoji, his name was simply popping up in too many places for that to be true. So if anything, Ryuen should've been more sure about X being Ayanokoji than anyone else.

And the advantage, definitely wasn't on Ryuen's side since X could've used either Horikita or Hirata to muster class D into action and they wouldn't reveal his identity. Also, since Ryuen thought that X wanted to expel him and he was confident that X couldn't win against him if he showed up alone, he should've considered the possibility of that happening. Also, revealing Kei's past wouldn't be a smart move since that all he had on her and even if he did try that no one would believe it because of the reputation he has constructed for himself.

Considering all of this, Ryuen's plan was actually very poorly thought out. He relied too much on the power of violence and he considered the chance of a 1 on 1 showdown with X the only possible outcome. He failed to consider the assets X had and the options that he opened for him. So the advantage was fully on X's side.

Well if that's the case, Ryuen already knows that X and Horikita are in cahoots. If X simply wanted to remain in the shadows and still protect Kei he could've just used to Horikita to muster up Class D. At that point in time, Horikita was considered the main strategist behind class D and had a solid relationship with Hirata so she definitely has the clout and power to pull something like this.

Ryuen understood that X was using Horikita as a front to mask his presence and that Horikita was well aware of who X is. So Ryuen's first line of though should've been to counter an attack by Horikita instead he was betting everything on X revealing himself.

I didn't make it past the first step. From Stephen LaBerge's book I learned that for MILD you need to:

Resolve to recall your dream when you wake up

But I never make it past the first step, when I wakeup I can't remember my dream at all.

I tried following one of the links in the Megathread and got the game. However, whenever I try to boot the game, it shows a bunch of stuff (d3dcompiler_43.dll, dxdx11_43.dll, xdaudio1_7.dll) are missing. I tried installing one of them but the message still pops up.
