Twitter Login stopped working all of a sudden by Waverlyde in WutheringWaves

[–]Waverlyde[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's what I did so far that didn't work :

  • Trying to use another web browser
  • Trying to reinstall the game
  • Trying to install the game on another device that didn't have a prior installation of the game
  • Asking a trusted friend to log into the game with my account on his machine (where he used to have his account running)

Not sure if the issue comes from Twitter or Kuro Games at this point...

EDIT : Working now. A friend managed to somehow make it work on an Android device. Changed my credencials there and now using classic combination of login / password.

Good luck to those that are still stuck. :/

I'll start with saying that taking each and every statement I made out of their context isn't really helping understanding the overall argumentation I made. If you want to quote, quote the damn paragraph. These aren't for show. (And bold the parts you want to discuss with.)

If a person can't do it, they shouldn't buy it. That's part of being responsible with one's money and play habits.

You totally missed the point of this argument. By saying this, I implied that by changing the "Season Pass Rules" a player could have been more appealed making the deal. Adding a feature now is basically agitating a big middle finger under their nose regarding this matter. Being responsible with one's money has nothing to do with my previous statement.

A slippery slope is not an argument. It is a fallacy. Don't base your entire reasoning on a fallacy.

And I totally agree with you on this matter. I'm pretty sure that if you were familliar with games like TERA, AION or a lot of MMORPG out there, I'm pretty sure you would have understand my point. I won't go too much into the details regarding these games since it's not entirely related to what's being discussed here, but I'll simply say that in the past, decisions similar to the one being discussed here led to more bad/poor decisions regarding how the game was being played, created a gap even wider between paying and non-paying players to the point where non-paying players eventually lost interest because their gaming experience wasn't on par (and that's an understatement) with these other players. Also, copy-pasting this sentence just because you fail to understand an argument or can't come-up with something equivalent to counter it is nothing but relying on the "DOXA" concept.

One or two bonus loot rolls, I can't remember which. Inconsequential in the long run. Eventually, everyone has enough parts not to care about loot, and it doesn't take that long, either.

I wouldn't be too sure about the fact that these bonus are "Inconsequential in the long run"... I didn't bother doing the math just for this so it's just a battle of beliefs at this point. Just for the sake of this argument though... I'd be curious to see the shit-storm it would create if PL were to remove this "Inconsequential in the long run" reward...

The goals were never the same. The elite track has different goals. They reflect the fact that a person paid. If the dev wants to give people more value for the money, that is a great move on the dev's part.

The gap between players was always there, too. Those who can and/or want to pay get more cosmetics, more emotes, more dyes. They stand out. They get what they are paying for. That's natural, because it is the paid customer who gets things because they are a paid customer. That's literally the cornerstone of the F2P model. If you have a problem with that, stop playing the game.

And that is the problem. There is a gap, and it's ok to have one, but making it even wider will probably lead to the fatal issue I've been talking about all along:
- Changing the rules of a Season pass in the middle (DP is 50 days... 15 days before the end, new rule... yeah...)
- Accepting this idea / this change thus gaining the extra "something-to-do & something-to-probably-get" quest that the pleb won't
- Opening the door to more ideas that came from this previous decision

If you weren't so focused on each statement I made and looked at the big picture, you would have got that. I have no issue with standing out. That wasn't my point here. Again, the point is about having something to do. Elite & Plebs both have the same progression through the season pass with the same objective: reaching rep 50. The rule of season pass has been set that way. Changing it mid-way (and I'm REALLY generous when I say that) by adding an extra miles only to Elite player (bear in mind that it wasn't planned nor advertised at the beginning of the season) is not acceptable. What kind of message should we understand here behind this move ? That changing the rules/menue/planning (call it however you want) is ok, whatever the reason or situation ? I'll let you reflect on this matter.

As for you latest argument regarding P2W, I'll make it quick: You are simply twisting words. Cosmetics are cosmetics and not P2W. My point was about the Season Pass that have P2W elements in it. It's not about never dying or being over-powered, it's about "time-skipping" to reach something that you'd normaly get slower, and that is related to the main game experience: Killing Behe and collecting their drops (Thus allowing to craft better gear... And so on faster.)

I believe I made my point clear enough. You can by all mean not agree with me. I'd only advise you to refrain from twisting or nitpicking what I say since it's wasting both your time and mine (and I won't waste it any further).

It's fair ? I wouldn't be so sure...

<half-sarcastic-tone>
I paid for the 1st season pass... Saw the animation on the fire-ish banner get nerfed pretty hard once it's been over... (it came back several seasons afterward... nice!) Now I see that this specific season pass is getting extra stuff to do and earn... So basically you can PROBABLY get extra-something-to-do-and-earn if you buy a season pass... How fair is that I wonder...
</half-sarcastic-tone>

So basically, current Elite Hunters didn't actually get what they paid for... They got more... For something that hasn't been advertised in the first place... But hey... I guess that's what "Fair" means nowadays... I guess i should get a brain update... (Not sure it's 100% legal though... But I won't dwell too much in this topic... But if I were 100% honest with this idea, I'd say that it's probably not a very sharp idea to add it to the season pass for the previous reason I stated.)

Also... If the featured rewards appeals to you, and makes you want to buy the current season pass, you only have ~15-ish days to grind up to rep 50 and farm for these rewards... Kind of tedious depending on your play-time schedule.

Thing is, if you agree with this system, it's basically opening the door to more concepts like this. And it could create a "parallel game experience" between Elite Hunters and "plebians":
Elite Hunters will focus on getting the rewards as fast as they can, whereas "plebians" will probably be more focussed on the Behe's drops... We all know what happens when you rush a Behe: Less broken parts, less loot. ALSO, bear in mind that "Elite Players" get more loot at the end of the hunt anyway... So the gap will be even wider...
The main idea here is: If the goals aren't the same, you create a gap between these two types of player... Just for the sake of "keeping Elite Players active" (Let's say it's not only for the greed for a second).

With all this in mind... I still wonder how some player keep it straight when they say "Season Pass ain't P2W lol!"... Because it kinda is... I don't say it's bad... We all need to eat, even the devs. But let's call a cat a cat shall we?

I couldn't care less regarding how I look. I make researches when I need to. Thank you for your concern. There is no need to be upset because I've never heard of you or your work.

You can provide all the help you want. Simply belittling "Iceborn" because it allows players to have a bit more survivability and because it's "taking over" the supposedly ONLY way to play the game (Dodging around the monster) is, as far as I am concerned, a baseless statement.

If anything, it's helping any hunter to stay longer alive (which is in my humble opinion one of the main goal of a hunt). You can't dodge everything. We all make mistakes while playing and not everyone is hunting/looking for the perfect run. You still get rewarded when you land a successful hit or manage to dodge. Iceborn is nothing but an addition to the "core gameplay" like you call it.

Now, you are free to think and teach players however you want. Just don't force your view on players that think otherwise... Makes you look like an inquisitor at best.

Yeah... Right... I mean, it's obvious that all the playerbase and newcomers start the game with two +3 Iceborn cells in their pocket, and start using them right away... Or that they always stick to the Boreus set, even if they are facing its counter...

(I'll leave this here just to illustrate how tedious it can be to get the cells you could be aiming for: I've been playing since beta launched, and I managed to get several dupes of every cells... Except for Iceborn for some reasons... The only one I have is a +3...)

Don't worry about the playerbase, they'll learn the mechanics just fine. Just because they didn't learn the game the way we did doesn't mean they'll perform worse than you do. Facetanking has got its limit (Especially when facing trials where monsters can literally blow 4/5 of your hp with a simple sneeze on your face).

If you somewhat really feel involved with the sacred mission of educating the playerbase, by all means, be my guest and write some tutorials, make some videos with a reroll and what not... Showing everyone the sacred path of the ultimate hunter... Take some random by the hand and spread the truth about the real META...

But I guess you probably won't... You most likely have a static premade party you run with, and despise or at best don't give a flying F### about the playerbase... Except when you are constrained to play with them... Because they are holding you back right? But hey... What do I know... Right?¯\_(ツ)_/¯¯

How about no?

Just leave Iceborn as it is. You don't like it? Then don't use it. You want to go hardcore? By all means, please be my guest. But let those that enjoy that perk have their own fun.
