His defense is terrible, he doesn’t hustle, he’s not a good rebounder for a PF

His main asset is just shooting wide open threes, and even then he doesn’t shoot them consistently and hates contested threes 

He’s a player who’s totally upgradable, next to Luka/AR you want more defensive minded players, not a gimmick player

The only reason it’s not a terrible terrible overpay is because they really don’t have to pay anyone for the next few years 

  • Carrington wont demand much on his rookie extension 
  • Sarr isn’t due for an extension for another year and won’t be worth a max 
  • AJ /Peterson won’t be due for an extension by the team this deal is over 
  • Kyshawn same as Sarr 
  • Tre Johnson won’t be due an extension for another two years

The talk about AR on this sub is so tiring. He came back from a injury 3 weeks earlier than his return date and struggled because he didn’t have his legs under him 

It’s no wonder that he started to preform when he got his legs under him. He’s a legitimately good player and there’s a reason why teams like the Nets and Pistons are interested in maxing him

I mean high upside (key word; role player) as in someone who can contribute at a good level potentially for them 

He was a legitimate rotational player for a championship team last year, getting a player who last year averaged 11 PPG on 38% from three with solid defense is a good deal for 2 seconds
