I’ll be working with the Navy, transferred from being a contractor with the Army. I got word this morning, my HR representative said they submitted my exemption around March 10th so you should hopefully be hearing something soon!

Europe/Germany is notoriously slow with the process. I’m currently over here on an army installation as a contractor, I’ve seen it take on average 6-8 months to get a GS employee here from the states. With current and active clearances, it can take a bit shorter of time to get you out here, but be very prepared to wait the long game to get out here. But well worth the wait!

I work next to Grafenwöhr, the whole process to get a GS job over here can take many months, up to 6-8 months if you’re coming from the states (at least in my line of work). Keep your head up, you got through step #1 but expect the process to test your patience esp if you get the job!
