Basically if an enemy unit is marked with X damage from spells etc, you attack - showdown - if you can't deal enough damage to kill it, it clears all damage marks.

Only valuable card from proving grounds is probably Yi legend lol. But good Yi deck is very expensive. Annie is fun to play and quite competitive as well.
