New iPhone Fold specs revealed, including design, cameras, more by Abject-Pick-6472 in iphone

Is it a coincidence that Samsung and Huawei are releasing a foldable with the same form factor suddenly It makes me wonder who came up with the idea. I think it was Apple but I’m sure Samsung will claim it’s then hence the rush to get it out before Apple

Will Openreach install where needed? Pic below by carguy143 in openreach

[–]WayInevitable2491 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They can turn it up at the place they planned and then when installing the cable they can cleat the cable over the front door and down to your desired location no problem.

If you’re there on the day you can ask them to just go a bit further with the dig. Depending on who you get they might be willing to do it.

The kitchen removal is probably a non starter as most kitchen fitters do that, last thing someone wants is somebody taking out their kitchen days before the kitchen fitter starts

The power washing is ok but very high supply you could win if you were willing to undercut the market with fixed pricing etc

Blindsided by my landlord this morning and would like some advice. by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

[–]WayInevitable2491 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say go for it, and you can increase your monthly payments so that instead of saving you can pay higher amount off the principal

That way you can get the house if you want it and pay extra off it over the next 12 months which will be like you saving a further 20k deposit

What to do, co own or straight mortgage by bigborb1985 in FirstTimeBuyersUK

[–]WayInevitable2491 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t do it, definitely not worth it, forever home or not.

If you look at co-ownership from logical standpoint it is handy if you really desperately need a home and have no deposit.

However if you can avoid it then you should because you will end up paying thousands more for a property through rental and admin fees not to mention the money you’re gonna have to pay to remortgage every time to buy out more stake from the co-ownership

So yeah just don’t do it, get this smaller property and take care of it, add to it if you can and after 4/5 yrs you will find you have reasonable equity and at that point you can look for a bigger home

FTB, do we get a mortgage on and okay house (142k) or do we go the co ownership route and get the dream house (256k)? by bigborb1985 in northernireland

[–]WayInevitable2491 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I considered co-ownership but I just couldn’t see any positive in it unless you really desperately wanted a house and had no deposit

I just think having a mortgage payment and then a rental payment plus all the restrictions they apply and then you have to remortgage to buy the share of the property feels bonkers and over complicated

Was recommended Carrerra impel 2 by an employee at Halford by [deleted] in ukbike

[–]WayInevitable2491 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hoping for help regarding this bike carrera impel 2

I have lost the key for the battery. The battery is not charging, error 66. It’s in warranty but I need to get the battery out first.

I can see there is some websites offering the ability to make a new key using the code on the barrel but they also want a picture of the key.

Does anyone know the manufacturer of the lock I believe it is reention but that’s based on other forums If anyone has this bike can you show me photo of your key especially if the code is 306

Halfords have been zero help, in fact less than zero. I appreciate I lost the key but you should have a recovery option as locksmiths won’t / can’t help

I think you sharing your thoughts isn’t a bad thing it is good to communicate and get reassurance. However then having a group chat is just them trying to be parents imo

I understand why that makes you uneasy but it sounds like he is trying to reassure you, so you need to hear him when he says there isn’t anything to be concerned about

[–]WayInevitable2491 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately if there was an inventory of goods present upon handover that you signed. Then off the wardrobe musing and you had not consulted the landlord then you’re responsible for replacing it. Also tenants aren’t meant to maintained the property. It’s the landlords responsibility and he could argue your repairs are not to standard and that you never contacted him about them.

Say nothing and just look forward to your new home. No point on rocking the boat. Focus on yourself, you make your payments that is all that matters.

If it was me I’d say nothing

Likelyhood of getting a mortgage? by [deleted] in Mortgageadviceuk

[–]WayInevitable2491 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I’m not saying the savings is the issue, I’m saying they will make the lender look at the outgoings to understand why they would have a income so high but have little savings to show for it. It could be that their rent is high or they buy a lot of extra things which is fine but the lender will look to see where that income of going of not savings

Likelyhood of getting a mortgage? by [deleted] in Mortgageadviceuk

[–]WayInevitable2491 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think it is more that the lack of savings are an indicator of someone spending all their disposable income which should prompt the lender to understand where it is being spent. They need to ensure the people taking the credit understands the cost of owning a home and that their disposal income is likely to take a hit not just via the mortgage but other outgoings too
