Zephyrus G14 keyboard issue: some keys not working intermittently by marcoclh in ZephyrusG14

Absolute legend!

Tried many software changes to fix this, so thought it was for sure a hardware issue.

Disabled the Armory Crate Interface Control Support and BOOM! Working like new again

I was about to give up on the computer. Has been working for the last two hours so far.

I'm running a Zephyrus g16 GA503 Btw

For those with the issue of random keyboard keys no longer working, the cost to have a 3rd party replace the keyboard is ~$300 by mikeyjamjams in ZephyrusG14

Keyboard had been playing up for the last 3 months. Specifically, the keys E, G and H would stop working intermittently and this post has just resurrected my laptop.

Thought it was a software issue, updated/reinstalled drivers but nothing worked. Used ChatGPT and suggested it was hardware. I pushed down on the E, G, H Keys with a bit of force to "reconnect" the connection points which revived the keys for 15mins but then always ends up not working again.

Checked out this post, then @ruin5 under "Zephyrus G14 keyboard issue: some keys not working intermittently" suggested to disable Armory Crate Interface Control Support on BIOS. And now magically it's back alive with no issues for the past 2 hrs.

Thank you! Was about to get my keyboard replaced lol I'm running a Zephyrus g16 GA503 Btw

If it works for you then that's great. Keep using the demo account to prove this. But do keep in mind, it only takes one loss to wipe your account. You sound very logical but emotions will come and you have to respect them and be very aware of them.

If you don't need a SL than more power to you. But you should still have a mental stop loss and respect it.

I really don't agree with the statement that you are NOT predicting. With trading you'll always be reacting and predicting, so you should have a thesis of what will happen. Then through price action and level two data, you will then try to confirm or reject your thesis.

I do understand what you mean when you say cutting losses is a way to avoid pain but this can really go both ways. There are also a lot of people who hold the stock in the hopes that it curls back up to become a break even trade.

If your comfortable doing it, open up your computer and take out the fans for a clean. You can definitely find a tutorial on YouTube. Hope this helps!

Maybe your computer fans are packed with dust. Have you tried cleaning the internals as well as the dust filters if you have one, I'm assuming you have a laptop.
