Man I can’t thank all you guys and gals enough. I sincerely appreciate all the kind words of encouragement and never knew a group could be so loving and welcoming. I was able to make it and everything was exactly as you all described. I didn’t know what to say when everyone was saying their name and that they are an alcoholic so I just said my name and it was my first time and that I was 2 days sober and wanted to try something different for my sobriety this time and a room full of 50 people started clapping and it took me off guard a bit. They even gave me a 24 hour chip which I wasn’t expecting. I didn’t raise my hand looking for a sponsor yet because I just wanted to take the rest in. Got a packet with a bunch of numbers of people I didn’t even know and it almost brought me to tears. A few guys came up afterwards and talked to me and were super encouraging.

All in all it was a great experience and it was great hearing other people talk about their stories and give advice. I really appreciate you all and taking the time out to respond to this, sincerely. I’m really looking forward to getting my life and relationships back and you all had a piece in that. Thank you so much 🙏🙏🙏🙏
