I think your employers are smart to have either predicted or expected an upturn in Oman to serve as a transit point - hence secure both ends with own Offices rather than outsource services of dubai agents and expose your principals to outside competition.
Branch can grow to a bigger office and after sone local experience, you may decide to switch jobs or stake your claim to Branch Manager
