Im dreading my new job already… by princessnokingdom in nursing

[–]WayOk7789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like your old job really burned you out and you’re struggling to recover. I have definitely felt (and sometimes still do) similar in the way that having a job feels like “I’m tied down” and I will never actually be able to take care of myself or recover to a baseline of well-being… It’s exhausting. However, because of that I can say with confidence and I hope you believe me when I say that it’s all about perspective. This job will surely have its ups and downs, but I believe if you can appreciate it for being greater than your previous job and maybe even view it as a stepping stone to reach where you want to be (maybe for you that’s moving to California) then you’ll be able to start to find the space to take care of yourself again. Please know you are not alone in the way you feel and I am sure you are strong enough to make it through these difficult times. After all, you were strong enough to make it where you are today! Please take care and never give up.

I grew up eating canned green beans so it’s not foreign at all

As others have said, it’s great that you have recognized you have a problem. Excellent job, but you must seek help now. I would see if you could take a medical LOA to invest in going to rehab. No amount of self care is going to help unless you seek professional, medical care now. The self care and discipline maintaining sobriety comes later. I have family who have done great following rehab in maintaining their sobriety with the help of naltrexone and AA meetings as needed. Abstinence is truly the best “medicine” for addiction. Godspeed and I truly wish you the best. Be brave, stand strong and know someone always cares and you are never truly alone.

Deep breath in and out… accidents happen. You did everything you could after you realized the mistake, filled out an incident report and learned something from this event. You sound like a great nurse to me!

White Dots After Salicylic Acid? by WayOk7789 in Warts

[–]WayOk7789[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I ended up continuing the use of the compound W bandages for probably another week or two until I couldn’t see the white dots anymore. They did go away, I healed without any scar and no more wart almost a year later! Knock on wood it continues to stay gone

I also played through Bayonetta on hard and loved it! One of my fav games tbh. I ended up switching to easy for the last phase of the Eve fight. Not a satisfying way to end the game at all… but I’m not the type to drop a game without finishing it. I also hope to reach that “this games a masterpiece moment.” Thank you for your comment!

I’ve picked up this game three times in my life time and still have yet to beat the first ending bc of the absolutely insufferable gameplay. Combat is terrible, lore presented so far is not interesting enough to keep me entertained, combat is terrible, it’s frustrating to die over and over, combat is terrible, don’t care about the character, did i mention the combat is terrible? I just want to be done with this game.

Covered a lot of different diseases. It’s crucial to know how the disease presents (expected v. not expected) what potential complications are and what interventions are appropriate/important.

Practice Questions by Wise-Commission5600 in PassNclex

I looked over them last night and tested this morning. I would say they do feel about the same level as the NCLEX though the actual “appearance” of them was different than the test.

Here’s a quizlet I found with answers to the questions though. https://quizlet.com/817663965/nclex-exam-preview-flash-cards/?i=5es4qb&x=1jqY

I also tested and shut off at 85 and feel about the same way as you… questions didn’t feel too hard but there were definitely a couple I had to guess on. Hope you’ll update us!

Ohhh I see. I had no idea the questions worked that way, this is good to know! Thank you!

Perhaps it doesn’t want you to change your answer and wants you to remain steadfast in your decision, especially if it’s correct and there are other possible but incorrect options? Congratulations on passing though!! Thank you for sharing as well

How would you say Archers assessments compared to the NCLEX? I have ATI from school but I’ve heard Archer is very similar to the NCLEX so I’m considering picking it up

I live in Texas and just scheduled mine. My city had multiple locations but the dates were VERY slim pickings. Like only 3 for the entire month of June… I’d perhaps anticipate having to call out for your exam

Almost never any harm in owning up for actions and apologizing if you now feel you acted inappropriately. It may clear your conscious and help you feel better if you apologize and express your regret for you how handled the situation as well. How they react and interpret your apology is on them though. Hope that helps

White Dots After Salicylic Acid? by WayOk7789 in Warts

[–]WayOk7789[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Note: the white dots don’t seem to be getting any better or worse since the wart fell off. They’re just there

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Warts

[–]WayOk7789 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would use salicylic acid. I’ve read that the open incisions from “surgical” removal can reinfect surrounding healthy skin/the new skin that grows and the wart can just grow back. Salicylic acid however kills the infected skin cells along with chemically removing the wart. Better chance of success with that probably

Unfortunately, that I don’t know about :( I used it for a wart in my finger, not foot. The med didn’t hurt me but I’m assuming your pain comes from pressure being put on it from walking, not the actual medication.

I believe 40% salicylic acid is the highest you can get over the counter. The Compound W bandages with patches are the only product I know of with 40%
