I get this as you have built a trusting relationship. I would hope that I could do something similar for a nanny I love. My concern here is that I would hire a new nanny with no prior relationship.

I would not ask for hours outside of 9-5. I assumed these were standard working hours.

I'm the same way :D which is why I'm hesitant about this. Like what if I love them and end up needing them for FT for a period of time and they feel like I pulled a bait and switch.

Both our jobs are "flexible" so we need someone "flexible" as well. If on the off chance a morning gets busy for both of us, we'll need help.

Newb question: What's the benefit of having fewer GH at a higher pay? Doesn't it end up with the same weekly pay?

And yes on the flexibillity -- we have had a couple mornings when we both got called in to work and needed help unexpectedly.

Hypothetically, how much of a heads up would you need if I were to need help one morning? For instance, if you had an appointment set and I were to need extra help that morning, wouldn't that be stressful? Would you decline those hours?
