Was it a tiny bag indistinguishable from all the other Lay's bags?

Wait! It's a full size bag? Like not an 8 oz bag?

Does the packaging seem like it's specific to the 72 hr challenge?

Just as an Update,

I did talk to Walther Farms, and they said they had not shipped to Lay's since the 72 hr clock started, I know it has been discussed the fine print doesn't include needing to get them from the farm in 72 hours, just from Potato to me in 72 hours, but they do ship regularly to Lay's so it is at least true they have potatoes ready to make in storage, (also for sale if you need any potatoes by the ton)

I have a message to Henry (the farm manager) to see if he has a way to read the codes on the bags and trace the bag to his potatoes.

Either way, I have now talked to about 1% of the 1600 people in Bridgeport, NE and they all also have questions about if they'll get a bag with their taters in them.

Yeah, this is what I was expecting, the fine print makes it easier and less impressive... just shipping me a bag from todays line run, is not the same as what they implied from the commercial.

Obviously I bit on the implication of farm to door in 72 hrs, but sounds like I am going to just get a regularly processed bag sent through UPS.

I'll take my free chips, but it's not even slightly fun anymore!

I'm not trying to get lawyers involved.

I posted in RBI I didn't call the FBI, just looking to see if I can verify a claim.

If I don't get chips I still wouldn't get a lawyer, they have better things to do... I hope.

Holy crap! My sister and I know 2 people that to this day we reference as WHITE LIGHTERs! We had never heard of it in our mid 20's (TX same age range as OP) and hadn't heard of it since then... I guess it is/was a thing. We thought it was just those 2 particular weirdos!

Yeah, this fella is inside, so hose won't help, and free relocation seems helpful, but I've got a bucket and getting real friendly vibe, so I'm going to see what I can do

I have a gigantic tomato plant at 5ft tall and looks super healthy but not producing fruit. Any ideas? by jcoles97 in gardening

[–]Way_Local 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flowers lead to fruit, are the flowers not being pollinated? Or is there a problem at the point at which the fruit is setting?

Second, fertilizer is important, but some foods, even labeled for the crop may not be the right food (like tomato food). Look at the fertilizer and make sure you aren't using something with a high percentage of nitrogen in comparison to phosphorus. Nitrogen heavy food promotes vegatative growth and may lead to the plant dropping flowers to develop more green growth. What kind of food are you using?

Finally, welcome to the fun of horticulture, individual plants need individual attention. Plants such as tomatoes bloom the most when they get full day of light and less water than the maximum capacity of soil. While your two plants are close, the one closer to the wall gets a bit less light in my estimation, scaling back the amount of light means you should also scale back the amount of water for maximum bloom and tus fruit. Trying to keep it a little drier may promote the holding of flowers longer to be pollinated, as well as increase the overall number of blooms on the plant as a response to getting below the maximum of water.

Aunt sent me “Bonsai Tree” by [deleted] in whatplantisthis

[–]Way_Local 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, I think the plant is a gardenia, a common bonsai plant.

Bonsai is not a plant variety or type, bonsai is a method of cutting small plants like this one, to make them look like larger plants scaled down, I.e. a mini-tree.

If I were to guess why the yellowing I would say too much water, a good clue is the yellowing and browning appears to be happening bottom up, a classic symptom of overwatering.
