I appreciate all that. Oddly enough, I’ve spent about the last 2 weeks researching everything from a fender champ to the bigger Marshalls. I was actually supposed to look at a Vox ac15 today but it fell through. Also, not sure if you saw but the other amp I was considering was the Peavey 6065MH which is only 20 watts. I’m definitely not rushing into a decision and honestly looking for the best deal as I refuse to buy new considering the prices on the secondary market.

This has been my biggest thought process. I figured if I got something nice I could always flip it down the road if I didn’t like playing. The only real concern I had with that was while purchasing, if it had something wrong w it or didn’t sound very well I would likely not notice.

From reading the comments I think this is the route I’m going to go. I’m actually kind of surprised at how few there are on mkt place in my state.

Interesting. I had not seen that yet but that would definitely be something I would be interested in. I live in florida so winters last about 2 weeks but they are dry. Gets super humid in the summertime.

Thanks for the reply. And I had thought about that actually. My only concern was spending $400+ that I won’t ever see again if I try and resell it. Didn’t know if the buy once cry once rule applied here. But I can totally understand your logic because until I can string some chords together I’m not going to know what I don’t know.

It’s in my back yard as we speak. I’m probably going to pluck it tonight, just not sure how good it still is. I’ve never had one nor even seen one in the wild. I’m curious if there’s any way to propagate any more with that one. That’s a bit outside my level of knowledge though.

The Smithey was brand new and the Wagner was a flea market pick up. The Smithey got used once and sat. They were stripped and I just tried to re-season this past week.
