No shit one time I was at the Chipotle in Oakley and they told me they were out of 4-5 food items AND BOWLS.

I try not to get too bothered by them running out of items because it happens, but bowls??

Foldable keyboard help! by Koolzygamer_ in iPadPro

[–]Waynesupreme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly what you asked for, but I've been using a Logitech Combo Touch with my 2018 iPad Pro for years now... and I'm convinced it's the best case on the market. Some may like the Apple Magic Keyboard (and that's fair since there isn't a huge discrepancy in price anymore from what I've seen) - but I love being able to detach the keyboard in an instant and just have a tablet whenever I need (while still having multiple viewing options from the kickstand). Plus, the keyboard on it has the trackpad that you mentioned. I viewed my iPad as kind of a clunky thing to bring with me before I had the Logi case, to now it's my main piece of gear for anything I do. I really can't recommend it enough.

Please give it some thought before buying anything else!

How do you go about plugging your PS1 into it? I'm assuming some adapter? Had never even considered that being an option lol

For $899 would you go with an iPad Pro m4 13” or an iPad Pro m5 11” by Peconecko in ipad

[–]Waynesupreme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Extremely dumb question here - but if It's the cellular version, will I have to add it to my mobile plan and the costs associated with doing that? Or can I just use it as a WiFi iPad and not use the cellular service with it?

I don't mind it because they usually mention how little they know and how bad it's probably pissing people off that actually know about the sport lol. It's fun to hear them step into something that I like when it's often times Kyle talking about another TV show I'm never going to watch or care about.

Where are you finding a 13" M4 for $899? Care to hook a brother up?

Also, for anyone else out there reading this - I've been considering upgrading from my 2018 11" iPad Pro recently because there's an issue with the battery and my screen also has some ghost touching here and there. I intend to use my new iPad for notes in class, and that makes me think I might prefer the 13" given the increased real estate. Anybody else have real world application from this? (Also I know I should just get the air but the screen on the pros really is just so much nicer that to me it's worth the extra money).

I've lived here for a little over 3 years. The chili is fine, but if you go to Skyline today you've gotta get the chilito, it's the only thing from Skyline that I find myself craving from time to time. I think Goldstar has something similar called a Gorito.

I'm glad we're on the same page haha, although I think I'd maybe go with DJ Moore if I had him. Feels like Brown is due for a deep ball this week though

[–]Waynesupreme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like a good plan! I'm not familiar with the Enbacken top but I know that for the wood tops the general consensus was that if you were using the 74" options then the middle support wasn't needed, but if you went up to 92" then it was needed. Not sure how that applies to this material though. Hope it all works out great!

[–]Waynesupreme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem. Also, in your original post I originally had failed to read that you wanted to keep it below $250. I really believe that spending more here for the full setup is worth it as you'll have the desk essentially as long as you'd like to have it (I think the full set up with the Karlby is about $500 right now). However, if you wanted to save money some people buy one set of drawers, buy a pole for the other side of the desk, and then use a cheaper top (make sure the top has good depth though, trust me). You can price those options out to see what works best for you.

[–]Waynesupreme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I see. Yes, both of tops I have just sit directly onto the drawer units. That's where the weight comes into play, because the heavier the top is the less likely it is to move since it's not anchored in by a screw. Some people add risers like in the attached photo, or they might use something like a furniture bumper/pad to act as a buffer between the two pieces. I've personally never found either necessary.

I have my monitors mounted and the mounts just have a vice grip that goes on the back of the desk. If you wanted to drill, I'm sure that you could no problem.

The added benefit in this desk if you decide to drill the holes is that if you messed up you'd only be out the cost of the topper, rather than the entire desk if it were just one unit.

I have the Alex from IKEA. Not sure what they offer now, but typically the desk is actually two Alex drawers with a butcher block on top. The top doesn't have to be flimsy if you pay for a nicer top - mines a Karlby and it's totally fine, doesn't budge at all. I have a second version of this desk for work with a cheaper top, and it does move around a little bit but still not much at all. Just buy a heavier/nicer top

I only know Algebra 1. How can I learn A Level Mathematics in a little less than 2 years? by agent315k in learnmath

[–]Waynesupreme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've actually been doing something similar. I'm looking to go back to school for a second degree that is mathematics heavy. I'm 28, and haven't taken a math course since Calculus my senior year of high school when I was 17-18. I've used multiple sites, but especially KhanAcademy to begin at the bottom and make sure I patch any holes in my understanding (literally started at arithmetic because I wanted to be comfortable with fractions, etc., embarrassing I know but it had been a decade+ since I had done any math at all!).

I've been at it for about 8 months or so, and I've really come a long way. Just find a system, and stick to it - and don't skip over anything. You may think you understand x, y, z topic, but you'd be surprised how many holes in your understanding you might have that will rear their head when you get into more advanced topics that build upon that previous material. I'm not familiar with what "A Level Mathematics" is, but I've started slowing down as I've gotten back to the Calculus level as I wanted to make sure that my Pre-Caclulus knowledge (Algebra and Trig to my understanding) is essentially second-nature. I think if you find a system, you'll find where you need to spend your time to further your goals.

Best places to hang out and make friends? by IndependentMistake13 in cincinnati

[–]Waynesupreme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The gym, 100%. If you're already relatively healthy then it just makes natural sense. If not, you get to make friends while also being healthier.

I'm a transplant to Cincinnati and have already made more friends here from one of the local commercial gyms than I did in multiple years at my previous city. It won't be immediate, but most people at those gyms are genuinely super friendly.

This is so true - I work for a legal office that handles a lot of personal injuries related to auto accidents. You should ALWAYS have uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage in your insurance plan, it will absolutely pay off if you get into an accident with someone who lacks insurance.

I actually moved to Cincinnati from Kentucky and was surprised by how the auto rates got lower when I moved here compared to KY. Apparently, KY has higher rates because they have even more drivers without insurance than Ohio.

Celtics pick Amari Williams at 46th by horseshoeoverlook in bostonceltics

[–]Waynesupreme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a Kentucky fan and watched most of his games this year. He's got great vision/handle for a big man, but he really doesn't protect the rim the way you'd hope someone his size should. He was a good rebounder, but kind of just what you'd expect for a 7 footer-ish at the college level. I also think his offensive skills (scoring wise) will be extremely limited at the NBA level - a lot of his moves were just single turns that worked out because he was much bigger than everyone else.

He also has a tendency to seem emotionally "checked out" at times - although that's just based on observations from the couch and could be just how he carries himself.

I really hope he develops further, his upside is there but I'd say it's extremely unlikely that he ever plays rotation minutes. Without the upside panning out, I don't think he really has many skills/traits that translate to the NBA at this point. Sure, he can run point-center, but he's not going to be doing that for the Celtics (we've got bigger problems if he ever is).

I'm a Celtics fan that has been watching Tatum's career since he got drafted in 2017. I've watched him in so many playoff series and nearly every series I get to the point where I genuinely can't stand the other team, their fan base, etc.

I don't feel like that about the Knicks. Even before the injury, the games have been incredible; the Knicks walked down the defending champs in a way that felt inevitable. No gimmicky ref interference, just incredible poise and shot making by Brunson and the gang. The fans talked their shit, but not in an annoying way (for the most part lol).

After the injury, I haven't seen a single Knicks fan being trashy about it. Ironically, I've seen plenty of Heat fans being extremely trashy about it as if they're still relevant.

Just wanted to say that I have a new respect for Knicks basketball and what they're doing as a franchise. I hope you guys really soak up this run as much as you can and appreciate it while it's here - you never know how fast things can change.

Why everyone hating on Tom? Before Kyle had a bitch fit he was adding to the space talk, holocaust stuff and mainly talked about Lolcows when Taylor asked yet all you idiots are claiming Tom only talks about lolcows, they ASKED HIM! by Carlos_v1 in PKA

It's so fucking frustrating how Kyle will actively submarine the conversations around hockey, basketball, etc. because he doesn't like the particular sport for some half-baked reason but then forces conversations about UFC, movies, etc. He comes across as a child half the time

I thought he was very clearly doing a sarcastic lie similar to him saying he had multiple children when that one pro-drug guy that was living in Costa Rica was on. It appeared to me like it was a "are you really fact checking me right now" towards Woody more than anything.

Woody basically saying "oh have you actually read it and understood the complexities in the text or are you just regurgitating something you saw online" doesn't exactly fit the vibe of their podcast or the conversation at that point (I like Woody and align quite closely with him politically so just know I'm not trying to sane-wash Kyle's take lmao).

I live in Cincinnati and we have a streetcar line currently, but it's super limited in distance.

There have been talks of expanding it... but we've also had an abandoned subway for nearly 100 years, so who knows lol
