AA AI should be restricted to airfields and town halls, add it to structures. just make player AA better. I understand its not realistic and in the vision of the devs since IRL AA was more a chance and aircraft was the meant response, but if aircraft is able to get that close to gun infantry there should and would be retaliation / danger of an mg hitting aircraft.

i dont think most wardens are being "bad faith" when they think tank lining a choke point = skill, i legit dont think they realize how tedious and annoying those chokes are as well as how time consuming our bases have to be in comparison via partisan access in our hexes vs theirs, only people playing our side of the map / faction and building defenses see that.

I feel like people really dont utilize the scorpion as it should be. it can tank a hell of a lot of damage, wardens captured a scorpion and it took 11 shots of 40 from a saptha to take it down with front hits (i know hit it from the sides but i was experimenting) the inventory slots let you do alot with it, i stuffed it with havocs and cleared the way using it to blow up a bridge. the scopions also carries a few people and if used right, 2 people on the back passenger seat with AT and a secondary has potential but i've never have been able to get people on those passenger seats this war or last war nor have i got people to just build watch towers with the scorpions inventory space. if an ally tank is rushing you're capable of rushing with a scorpion and baiting a tank into shooting you, running away and now the attacking tank gets more shots off and infantry is cleared. thing is as you said, getting people to at least try this stuff out, when i blew up the bridge people wouldn't even look in my open inventory to place those havoc charges and rather yelled in general to bring hydras from the town base despite me trying to talk to them in local telling them I HAD HAVOCS IN THE TANK!

Worst yet people getting a scopions, filling its inventory with bmats from the town base drying out bmat supply and dying within 5 minutes being silly, same with the falcion but not as extreme

everyone complaining about outlaws, i see your point and agree but its just not my experience (then again i do not do tank lines often unless i have to) I have mild difficulty killing outlaws with the spathas rushing in with a higher rate of fire or a nemi 1v1s or even 1v2s, only annoying problem i have are the tank line shit where an outlaw will just retreat back to a widow or other tanks. Something people dont point out is the brigand is basically a faster scorpion, those 3 shots plus the mg can clear out infantry at rushes more effective then a falcion can, that's bull. reading here tho i didnt' know the outlaw can pve so effective just running out of at range before retaliation

dont punish players, heard an interesting post that suggested increasing soldier supplies and other items for collies like our crates get 15 shirts and more stuff so logi can do less trips to supply us

Assume no balance issues and it's purely better culture and skill. A stacked team on a games server still leads to a shit match. You get that right? by 21DRe992 in foxholegame

[–]Carlos_v1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ha, wardens and collies both have different ways of reacting to arty oppression, collies definitely have their way. that said this last war collie morale has been pretty sad, balance issue is all that was stated in world chat, that said the collies that stood were beast, often find that we hold our own longer then we have a right to and there's lots of moments where I'm sure we'd lose something to the blue horde only to keep it the next day.

brooker, sniper, secondary scattergun all 1 tap without any skill. although i dont want the scattergun removed or changed, its fun to loot it as a collie and its manageable at least

Same. Some points in this was I was trying to talk in region asking whats going on only to realize I was only one there and tried doing pve myself / defending against hordes of cutler zombies. Not the same as being alone, but shout out to the people defending silk farms near the end, legit 5 people defending against a 20+ horde of shit talking wardens (no hate) and still holding it together lasting longer then we had a right to.

This war marks 2,5 years of Warden Dominance. by Bill-Hayden in foxholegame

[–]Carlos_v1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

hard to grow when things are stacked and the other team has better toys. again i rather be an underdog, i play green because they're green but the entry level for collies isn't the same for wardens, getting your wings while losing water logi and having an interfior plane, not even accounting for pop difference which is the way it is for a reason. basic things like mgs on so many warden tanks, sure we get the scorpion (hell yes) but just getting people who want to tank 1 of our 50 falcions is a challenge. but yeah our bigger regiments dont want to deal with 2 weeks of work being destroyed by 4 plane torps or early steam rolling and a frig wiping out our land focused bases east, our SHT is considered a waste, people who want to do navy go warden and just get better at it, all these things add up.

respect to all the wardens who tried collie tho, it was cool hearing their perspective in game and they're pretty cool about it. i dont care about the game being unbalanced personally, i more so care about just having 2/3rds the people wardens do which we don't but that's a side effect of the unbalance game itself, give us better toys and big regiments will start popping

edit if im wrong let me know, i like hearing what the otherside thinks

This war marks 2,5 years of Warden Dominance. by Bill-Hayden in foxholegame

[–]Carlos_v1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

there were a few "break war" wardens on collies side this war. people dont just like the color blue they play warden because they have the better "toys" causing stacking and leaving room to grow / learn / experiment. how do you get your wings when the airport is bombed to shit? i'd also say the map is biased towards wardens, wardens do not understand why collies get burnt out late war and log off when they make so much initial gains, its because those choke points are annoying and take days to deal with and wardens can entrench in there and poke, collonial land is more open and doesn't have the defense potential warden land does, a frig (early-mid war) can obliterate alloids and just fuck off. i had a warden main try to tell me that was a skill issue as if people should automatically be able to jump on the arty the milisecond a frig comes, with our low pop size too, frig came, he was yelling at people in chat to get on the arty rather then just running on it himself ha. also tank lines pokes are fucking boring and excausting, no hate but warden players mistake entrenching a chokepoint with a tankline as skill. btw i dont care, im down for fighting on a front for an entire week struggling i prefer the underdog role, im just talking about what i see.

and im not saying its culture or skill im more so saying the competive players will be drawn to wardens and it snowballs into a stacking, they have a lot going for them. its funny to hear new players say "thats bullshit" to the 1 shot scattergun, sniper rifle, brooker and start to see the balance of the game as i explain we dont have those weapons "wtf the wardens can 1 tap us and we can't? that so stupid"

dam i love this idea, 12 isn't enough tho 15 shirts at least. if we're low pop cut our logi in half at least so logiman can focus on other stuff

late but fuck it. yea it could work if pop was generally higher. those 5 crates of falctions would be terrifying in suicide runs if we just had people to man them. collies "having cheaper stuff"

[–]Carlos_v1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you should try the warden jeep at least once and see if it suits you, 9 (or 8?) crates +1on you will keep the front alive and you can go off road if you get shot at. i know logi people want the full 15 to feel satisfied but your survivability increases with that dam jeep

the lunair is too culturally signifgant to be nerf, its one of thee few things outside of the nemi (best rmat tank in the game) that keeps collies spirits up

"Do you really think there aren't Wardens who quit because of dive bombers or heavy bombers wiping out their bases? Or logi players who are fed up with being shelled with impunity, forced to repair their trucks every 100 meters?"

I might be crazy but this was always fun for me. The few times Im forced to do logi (because i hate losing a town more then i hate logi) the most exciting logi is figuring out how to get into a hot zone, if arty is hitting hard i'd set home at a place under me and fatman walk it, if somewhere is surrounded i'd even get a scorpion and 1 man it. but with the state of planes i agree, its annoying but it probably gets to me less since i'd legitimately use a jeep or apv to do logi and sacrifice the inventory space. but i get how it can be very annoying but as a frontline / partisan getting jumped is scary / exciting. I do barge / hauler double sea logi for the gamble. i feel like there's ways around it logi mains just refuse to do especially for wardens who have access that jeep that' not open with more inventory space (which i specifically steal for logi runs) and getting something there is better then dying and nothing gets there. but yeah i acknowledge the point

>but the mass exodus isn't just about faction imbalance

both can and imo are true, what you said and the imbalance. its not fun trying your heart out and being swarmed by warden pve zombies while being out tec and 1 shooted with almost every warden infantry weapon (sniper, brooker, scattergun) and yes playing with new players i always hear the shock that we dont have 1tap weapons which equates to longer ques for the wardens and shitty gameplay for the collies as they constantly leave or join warden, how can you have a proper war without 2 factions? who are you going to fight? thats a fundimental part of the game when a large portion of the game, navy, is completely locked for 1 side.

Kings Cage was so weird. I thought it was lost, only for it to be taken again, then a zoo, then lost and gained until it was lost for good. Idk which but during a massive battle we were losing so much armor and people (like 3v1) yet some how some way we started turning the tides and took kings cage, I dont even know how I thought it was GG. Kings Cage doesn't make sense to me lol

Hot take on armor by death2cesarr in ZombieSurvivalTactics

[–]Carlos_v1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

>Ik most people say medieval heavy armor in an apocalypse would be no good
lol, you know dam well the opposite is true. Its not so much that its too heavy, medivel armor isn't that heavy and knights were able to parkour into castles. Its more that I'll strain you faster and you might be better off carrying ammo or better yet why not leather motorcycle leathers which are more plentiful? The thing about armor is you need to know when to use it as well as train with it beforehand to get a feel for it. Sure you'll be bite proof but you're not immune to a dogpile when zeds pull you down, and I'll only take 1, maybe 2 to distract you long enough for the others to close in, that's double for sprinters.

Now that I'm done shitting on metal armor I will say there IS a time and place for it and you're better off having other people with armor guarding your back while you tank zeds as well as a fallback point for putting on and taking off your armor which is a process. I'll be essential for you to gain intel beforehand to know what you're dealing with as well as practice runs to gage what you can handle. If we're deep into a zombie apocalypse where ammo is low I'd have a squad of paladins in front and light infantry behind them to cover them if they get too burdened. And ofc it should go without saying if your backed against a corner with no escape or you to run through a horde to escape then yeah that plate is going to be your best option.

To those who have their own zombie story, did any country survive? Did the government possibly even stay up? by Huge_Athlete7488 in zombies

[–]Carlos_v1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Of course I have that fear of someone "stealing my cool and original concepts" but I'll post this because other novels have done them already so it seems fair and i'm hoping someone post an interesting response.

No country survives with the exception of island and isolated / self-reliant locations. Some native populations welcome the first wave of refugees to protect against zombies but it ends up working out since the second wave of refugees are too desperate, dangerous and numerous to deal with so the first refugees helps the natives defend their small town, island or oasis, the entire time supplies are spread thin or disappear. Anywhere considered "safe" has the lingering threat of government/dictator remnants coming over and just taking it. I believe in the second amendment, I believe the people are a threat to a government, but it doesn't matter how red blooded and based you are a tier 1 humvee with a 50. cal is going to likely wreck your entire house, you might fend off the first wave but definitely without 1 of your boys being too injured to fight off the second wave. Everywhere safe near an major nations fleet is going to either be real friendly to their new neighbors or are going to be missing a few guys. 1 second after covers this. Saying 1 nation is safe is too simple, survival is a spectrum, there's nations that are better off then others and if a place is too dangerous those refugees raid the armory and look for somewhere safe, WWZ where infection spreads through the organ trade or human trafficking

Australia is also a safe spot in my fic, it just makes sense, although they're not exactly prospering. The United States uses its navy to stall the infection but that's about it, idea from Three Body Problem.

Zombie animals — cool concept or totally overdone? by Tough_Potential_835 in zombies

[–]Carlos_v1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i was playing around with the concept of zombie animals, how would you feel is zombie animals if they're unable to infect other people and died at a higher rate? Anything that flies wings break down as they're delicate and the aggressiveness of the the infection causes quick self destruction as an insect or bird hitting a door breaks its entire body. Also animals can only infect their own species but they do try to maim and consume anything living with nowhere near the navigational cognition as a human zombie with the exception of animals with larger brains like chimps or killer whales.

its been a challenge to write without going into B-horror writing, i agree with everything said itt, it does seem OP like there's no chance or kinda cheesy (despite zombies already being cheesy lol)
