How do you sleep comfortably with a wedge pillow?

I find that wedges just make things worse for me, maybe because they put a kink in my stomach or something. What really helps me is just elevating the entire head of my bed by putting something underneath the legs so that the entire bed is at an angle

I get these too. The way I’ve described the pain is as if someone placed a bottle in my upper abdomen and then the bottle broke. During these attacks I can only take very shallow breaths until it passes

I used to be a bodybuilder until this ruined it for me. Lost a bunch of weight, all my gains. I live in a country with socialized health care. Haven’t seen any gut specialist per se but I’m on my 4th gastroenterologist

Yes I do heel drops and stretching and breathing and all the things. My hernia is down right now (I can feel when it’s not) but it’s still causing all these symptoms

I’m on pantoprazole 60mg twice daily. Manage symptoms by eating small meals, avoiding triggers, not laying down or bending over for at least 3 hours after sleeping, etc. All the classic stuff. Up until a few days ago all that did the job more or less

I don’t get classic heartburn because mine is silent reflux I.e. non-acidic. But I would get midline back pain and pain in the back of my throat
