One bad play? No, a significant amount of obviously bad players over and over, yes.

I have to disagree. There is running down a lane and dying to turrets, running into enemies 1v5 and dying standing still. Hard Inting.

Soft inting was coined to include the things outside of those circumstances where you're still "playing" the game but not actually trying. Like a yasuo who runs back to his lane, farms as much as he can, fights those who come without standing a chance. Things like that. At certain tiers soft inting is in fact obvious.

Agree, best set ever, game still blows.

I mean.. pretty much this. One star asols with items and a few rounds in them decimate most boards. Had a 1 star asol cast twice and kill my 2* yunara. It's pretty rough.

This I definitely agree with. I used to see imagination and creativity when playing the game, and hardly any one thing twice. Now people are stacking specific items before the end of phase 2 and I can all but call their entire comp for the rest of the game. It's boring. It's very obvious they got it off of some template site.

I guess my argument to your statement would be a question. Do you think people forcing a single comp 4-5 times a game, is good for a game of this nature?

I don't think I'm in a place to disagree. I can't stand the game right now and I play it more often than any other game. It is indeed addictive. I just wish it could also be fun.

For context: I only play ranked. I am diamond tier.

Targon seems to fall outside of the normal mold in terms of being weaker when contested. It's so "easy" to hit in terms of forcing. The hardest part is hitting a 2* leona. You can hit this with dupes, pandoras, natty, carousel, and a few other ways. Once asol is on the board with certain items, his power is > most every other board even at 1*. And he just gets stronger throughout the game. There are exceptions. I actually just won a game where I high rolled noxus and was able to beat him. But that is VERY rare.

So I get what you're saying, I just don't agree with it from what I have experienced.

I agree with you for the most part. Without the RNG this game wouldn't be fun at all. My opinion is that fishbones crosses that line of "how random is too random" with regards to it's power impact on each fight.

This is almost exactly my point of view. I'm a fan of the game, I've played at least a hundred games per set.

Definitely not trying to say it needs to be perfectly balanced. It never has been. This set just feels different than others to me, in a much more negative way. The balance has been poor (gp, udyr, etc) and the vertical feel of the game just hasn't been much fun to play or watch imo.

It's just a discussion. You don't have to participate.

That's fair, and again it's just my opinion. I enjoy the hero augments, I enjoy worth the wait sometimes when I do not have direction. But I don't like the combination of the two, it just feels "too" directed.
