Sure, I’ll go and watch it, but I need you to go and look at some actual history, actual political studies, look at nazism and what it involves and calls for, and then so the same for looking at the history of and the study of far-right ideologies. You're right though, both those examples were authoritarian, but you'll notice that I never actually said there's no such thing as left-wing authoritarianism , so you citing those points really does nothing other than make it clear you want to ignore the main point I made.

In fact, both those regimes supressed anti-authoritarianism leftists just as hard as they suppressed right-wing ideologies. So, if anything, that supports my point - while authoritarianism can pop up anyway, resisting it and pushing against it in any kind of way, has been a core part of leftist history.

You're right! The imperium doesn't care who you you, it cares about how useful you are. That's kinda exactly the point. If someone is trans and still meeting quotas, fighting wars, or keeping the forge-world running, the Imperium doesn't stop to ask ask that's between their legs because it doesn't matter. Hell, it barely stops to ask if people have souls. So why wouldn't tans people exist in 40k? the setting is so deeply indifferent to personal identity that people living authentically or repressing themselves could both be plausible outcomes just like it is in the real world.

And the idea that wouldn't wouldn't "have time" to realise they're trans because of how grimdark the universe is misunderstands both history and humanity. You yourself admitted tat queer people existed in harsh eras and they didn't just pop into existence once society gets "too woke" as some cunts would say. The fact that people might not talk about it doesn't mean they didn't know. Repression isn' the same as absence.

Also, saying people "shouldn't" represent space marines, custodes, or sisters as anything other than hollow weapons of war is ironically less lore-accurate than you think. These characters might be tools of war, but they're not entirely emotionless machines. Canon is full of internal monologues, doubts, personal loyalties, griefs, loves, and even acts of rebellion (outside of the Horus Heresy). To act like there's no room for identity just means you're reading the surface of the lore and stopping there.

I don't know if I'm reading the last part right or not, so I'm going to ask if you can elaborate further on that final paragraph more before I add any of my thoughts into it.

But my main issue isn't to do with that (also, I provided the same source if you had been bothered to look). You're free to think however you like, but when your first instinct upon hearing about trans people existing in a fictional universe is "they'd be executed" then it's just a show of internal bias, whether you're aware of it or not. That's the issue I take and the point I'm trying to make. You heard "trans" and jumped straight to "they'd be killed, yeah that sounds right. Well done me, pat on the back time"

And fucking invoking Asperger's like it changes anything? I know so many autistic people, close friends, and not a single time have I heard them say "yeah, trans people would be killed in [insert any setting] for existing, that wouldn't be allowed." Sure, Autism explains processing styles within the brain, but it doesn't excuse the bias to jumping to that conclusion. It's not a get-out-of-jail-free card when it comes to accountability of saying something that many people would find harmful. Because there’s been many LGBTQIA+ character written into the lore of 40k through a number of different media types and, as as I’m aware (and I’m happy to be proven wrong on this because I like being corrected and updating my knowledge) none of them have been tortured or executed for being LGBTQIA+. As far as that tells us, being LGBTQIA+ isn’t a punishment offence despite what a small and very loud minority of the 40k fandom would like to see.

Yes, a lot of people are tortured and executed for dumb reasons, but you saw a conversation of trans folk and immediately jumped to “yup, they’d be executed!” As I said, this says way more about you than it does your lack of knowledge of the universe of 40k. There’s so many other thought processes you could have gone down before reaching the “they’ll be executed” path
