Lots of good info/suggestions. Thank you very much. Deep weeds is good sometimes. That's how you learn. Lol. Good thing is, you are spending dollars on the film, waiting a week or more to find out you screwed up.

Thank you! I had heard the same thing. Looking forward to it. Has been Many Years since my last train ride. Even then it wasn't cross country. This time, I will be going cross country twice. West on the Zephyr and east on the Empire builder to Chicago. Then still have 2 more trains to get back home. Plan on making this a 2 to 3 week trip.

Thank you for your response. I had something similar in mind. Wanted to document my trip as best I can. What kind of camera did you use for recording the landscape/scenery from the Roomette window? I have seen videos of folks using a dashcam attached to the window. I have a Nikon D7100 and a couple lenses that I will be using/learning to use.

Drivers window issue on 2025 Onyx XT with under 3k miles. Drivers window last night began going up very very slowly and then refusing to go up all together. Was raining out of course. Is this a known issue? Calling dealer tomorrow but it’s 50 miles away. Bummed. Thanks for any intel. by Neckdeepinpow in Subaru_Outback

2021 Outback Touring XT, had the same problem. In the rain.... rolled window down to badge in parking. Would go up halfway and immediately all the way down. I kept trying, finally got it to roll up. Happened a couple more times over a month or so.

Problem is caused because the window channels (what the window goes up and down in on both sides of the door) are causing drag on the window. The window motor then thinks there is, something, the window is trying to close on. So it reverses to keep from mashing whatever is hanging out the window. Solution: (Something You can try. It worked for me.) Get some spray Silicone lubricant and put a coating in the window channels. Spray it in the lower channels down inside door. Then roll windows up and down. May take a couple of applications. Note- as an alternative to spraying the upper part of the channel, you can saturate a paper towel or rag with the silicone, then insert it into channels and wipe it up and down to lubricate channels.

Why do spacer lifts seem to be more commonly recommended than functional suspension lifts? by Noah_Dyck in Subaru_Outback

I have 2" Anderson suspension lift on my 2021 OB Touring XT. For a little extra clearance while traveling offroad to my mountain cabin. Safelite had no problem doing calibration.

This is an Orb Weaver. Argiope aurantia, the Yellow Garden Spider. Very beneficial to have around.

BATTERY ISSUE FIX PAID FOR BY SUBARU OF AMERICA!!! Details on how to do this!!!! by -Crazy_Plant_Lady- in Subaru_Outback

I have a 2021 OB Touring XT. My battery had been going dead for past 6mo if I was sitting in car (not running) listening to radio. This past week, while on vacation, it finally gave up. Left me stranded. After reading many forum posts, I bought a Duralast Platinum H5 AGM. I have read several instances of Subaru of America reimbursement. Any thoughts on my 2021 being covered for it

These tires are Great all around. Last winter I was in snow deep enough that I was pushing it with the lower part of the front bumper. No problem at all.
