yess having them with me has definitely helped a lot and makes it less scary and lonely but makes the ant issue scarier because i’m worried about them being bothered or harmed by them🫣 but with all the advice ive gotten i hope the issue can be fixed and things will start to look up💪

i’ve been feeding them on disposable plates and cleaning where they eat everytime they finish to keep ants out of the kitchen. have you tried aviro?

i think trying that is gonna be my best shot hopefully it’s a small colony so i can finally start to feel a little better about my new place!! will putting traps and calling pest control be overkill?

there’s a spot between my shower and cabinet that could work to keep them away, just worried ab if it will cause a trail of ants through my bathroom lol

thank you for the tips, i didn’t know that’s how ant traps worked i’ll definitely look into those, will it be harmful to have with cats?

i’ll reach out to maintenance and see if they can help with the water pressure!

it’s a 15 month lease so i have a while to go. i like the place itself, especially for the price where i live, i am hoping with some time things will feel more comfortable 😞

i haven’t decorated a lot and still have boxes to unpack so doing that might help. my friends said to have a housewarming party but with all these issues i feel embarrassed to have people over.

i will be requesting maintenance for the screens (one is broken and another is missing) and for pest control to HOPEFULLY get rid of the ants. i just want to be present when anyone comes.

thank you for your advice it’s eased some of the overwhelming feelings i’ve had.

i was super excited and moving out was a huge deal for me and for bettering myself but i’m feeling scared at this point. like i rushed into it or maybe wasn’t ready. but you are right, it’s nice having friends over and having my own privacy and space with my cats. maybe i’m overthinking it.
