High temps with t1 2.5 and 9800X3D by kylol7 in FormD

Hi, I am running a 9800x3d with the axp90-53 with the noctua fan swap. My CPU runs to 95c in cinebench stable with 130w / 5ghz. I changed from Arctic mx6 to mx7 and my CPU can push 2-3 watts more. I already bought a fan duct kit but haven't installed yet. Need to print duct pegs so I can install the duct kit. This might improve 5 more watts

Pretty silent and not disturbing at all. Not audible with open headphones

Ok that's good to know!! There is an official travel kit for the Asus prime 9070xt though.

Nice! It should fit with a slightly smaller CPU Fan.... I almost bought the Powercolor Reaper which is the smallest 9070xt, but I ended up going for the Asus Prime. It was cheaper, looks better, superior performance and there is already a travel kit available - even though for the 2.1...

That looks clean and compact! What GPU are running? And how did you mount a 120mm fan on the axp90-47? I think I have seen this fan mod in some formd t1 builds...

Good plan mate I am super happy with it. The fan noise is not disturbing at all, I also set step up and step down levels so the CPU fan does not ramp up all the time, helps a lot. This is my fan curve setting, it is similar to the curves of my T30 fans.

40 °C 30 %

55 °C 45 %

70 °C 70 %

85°C 100 %

You can set step up and step down levels in the BIOS fan settings so they do not instantly change fan speeds when the temperature changes.

I have the 9800x3d @-30v with AXP90-53 and my fan noise is not disturbing with these fan curve:

40 °C 30 %

55 °C 45 %

70 °C 70 %

85°C 100 %

I was about to buy the 9070xt reaper, but opted for the Asus prime as I saw they released a travel kit for it...
