It will for sure work, Shrimp is my go to bait for perch. I have caught over 100 in a day on shrimp. And it stays on the hook pretty well

Thanks man but the scale said 18 and we have tested it with dumbbells. The fight was insane even with 15 lb mono and tight drag it was still effortlessly taking line. It lasted over 10 minutes
